I can upload a picture tonight, but there's a spot on my hood that the paint has peeled right off basically in the last 24 hours. it's a circle-type shape, and about 4 inches diameter. the car had a lot of hood chips, but none of them looked that terrible that they would have peeled over time. i had it detailed maybe about 15 months ago, and it looked great. wondering, should i repaint the hood, find a replacement, or what?

The only thing I have heard of is people passing by refineries when it was raining and having their clearcoat peel off. This usually happens when they discharge sulfur and it makes contact with rain causing the rain to become acidic.
