Hello everyone, for the life of me I cannot find anything on the web about this. A lot of similar problems but not exact. Maybe one of you could shed some light..

Thudding sound coming from front end.. Driver side it sounds like.

Sound increases with speed not revs.

Sound is only noticable when clutch is engaged and in gear (1-6)

When coasting in neutral sound will stop.

Replaced axels and it didn't solve issue. Mechanic friend suggested replacing wheel hubs.

Really not trying to take it to dealership for a $200 diagnostic. Hoping it's not transmission related!

Please advise.

Reorge

Could be intermediate shaft (between transmission and passenger drive shaft).

Took it to a shop and they said there is something wrong with the soft parts of the transmission.

My question now is do I go with a refurb or rebuild current. Case is intact.

Final drive gear in the trans. Just went through this issue in my 05. Apparently it's a common issue for the ring gear to spit a couple teeth off. The sound goes away when you push in the clutch right?
