2004 TSX Driver LowBeam Headlight dims to pink?
Factory low beam headlight on my drivers side is the typical white when I turn the lights on but within a few seconds it dims to a pink/orange color, can anyone identify the problem? Any help is appreciated in advance.

depends.
you have 3 options.
1. buy brand new oem bulb.
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...S%29_%28HID%29
$154 and I think that is for one bulb.
2. buy used oem bulbs from someone on this site or on tsx club.
often times you will find people selling their stock HIDs because they replaced them.
3. buy aftermarket bulbs. many people do this. only two brands come recommended:
Kaixen and Philips. this option gives you the opportunity to pick whatever color temperature
that you want to run.
stock oem HIDs = 4300k and is yellowish
--------------------------------
5000k = "natural" white
6000k = bright white with a hint of blue
6500k = bright white with a hint of purple
8500k = blue
the above four seem to be the most popular, and 6000k being the most popular
of the 4 by a very wide margin.

^ here they are, brand new for $100 right now.
I personally suggest option number 3.
I would order either the 5000k or the 6000k ones, leaning strongly towards the 6000k.
the 5000k might actually have a tad higher lumen output (brightness), but I personally
like the blue tint the 6000k ones have.
I would trust these more than a used set of oem's.

Thank you very much for your help. Additionally I found some on ebay that were considerable cheaper, 2 for around $45 and they were philips, would you trust that if they have a good seller rating?

Make a hole, coming thru!
I've read here that the lifetime of an HID bulb is determined by the number of times it's ignited, not the duration over the life of the car. If that's the case, one bulb going bad probably means the other is not far behind. I'm just supposing here, I'm not an expert.

Let me help you!
It won't be necessarily brighter (in lumens), but its color temperature will not match the old one. The color of the light is affected by the salts in the bulb, but as the salts are used, they slowly change composition. That's why when you first get oem bulbs, they look bluish. Eventually, they'll start to look more whiter. Also, if you're quick, you can even sometimes see the color of the light change quickly when you turn them on (my accord would be quite blue, and then change to white within 2 seconds as the salts change from their cooled to excited state).

45 is not that uncommon for used bulbs.
you can replace the 1 bulb with a used bulb and you should be fine.
if you replace 1 bad bulb with 1 new bulb, then you'll have color issues.

To me, it mean its time to get a new bulb.
Now, I can get an aftermarket from a friend mechanic at 90$/bulb probably phillips or kaixen
or i've look on forum (this one and the other well known) to find the 2 most "reliable" place to buy wich is IJDM and DDM
IJDM price is 39/bulb + shipping to canada = 103$ for a set 6000K
DDM price is 14/bulb + shipping to canada = 40$ for a set 6000K
reading that guy 2 cents am kind of stuck into what to do.
So i'd like some advice
anybody else had problem with DDM ?
If u were me, what would u do ?
