Hey Guys - Sorry if I'm not in the right section

New member here and first time owning an Acura, had a 2006 WRX STi and wanted to change it up with some comfort and this thing called... what is it... oh yeah fuel economy.


Anyways, I got a 2004 TSX and needless to say I am disappointed with the output of the projectors even with Osram CBI's. Granted I was spoiled beforehand with retrofitted 2010 TSX Projectors into my STi.


My question is -

Are the 08+ projectors (fresnal lens) drop in for the 04 headlights? I called 4 dealerships trying to source some projectors and 2 of them asked me what a projector was ... .

I'm completely comfortable cracking open the headlights as I've done a few retrofits in the recent years. However, I don't want to have some monster project headlights with some S2k projectors or anything like that. I'd prefer simplicity and ease.

Update - baked the 2004 headlights apart, projector bowls are fine, however the projector lens had some crap build up on it that IPA and a glass microfiber removed easily.

Purchased a set of 08 headlights, transferred the clear lens from the 04/05 projectors and dropped them in.

Output is still nowhere near as crisp as the STi's retrofitted TSX projectors but it's better than before.
