05 TSX Navigation
My 2005 Acura TSX's navigation pooped out on me a few days ago. First the maps stopped working and other functions (touch screen, radio, XM, A/C) were all fine. Now nothing works that would use the screen. My screen is black and in a green box it starts with "Downloading software... please wait" and then goes to another black screen with "Please check disk". I tried taking it apart to clean the lens after cleaning the disk didn't work multiple times and that did nothing. Needless to say I am out of warranty and I'd like to get this fixed as quickly and cheap as possible. OEM units are between $4000-$7000 and I can find a bunch on Ebay and Amazon for other Honda models but can anyone tell me if the functions would work? If I were to buy an '06 Pilot DVD player, would that also allow me to control my A/C and radio etc? Or, is anyone able to give me the number for the Alpine refurbishing place so I can get a quote from them?

Others have sent the unit back to Alpine to have it fixed-the cost was $185.00 but is now $385.00=not 100% sure on that price.
