Power steering

So today I changed my power steering on my car and I connected everything back correctly. When I went to start the car I noticed I had no power steering at all and the reservoir cap burst open spitting power steering fluid everywhere.

What did you change with the power steering? Pump? Fluid? It's a possibility that you got air in the system and when it worked it way out, it pushed the fluid out. You might just try refilling it and trying again. Granted, Honda PS fluid isn't cheap but it sounds like you have no other choice. Turn the car on and add the fluid a little bit at a time. Add more as the reservoir empties. Every once in a while, get in the car and turn the wheel slowly. Then add more fluid. Repeat until the fluid is at the correct level in the reservoir.

I'm glad I have electronic power steering. I don't miss the days of hydraulic power steering

BTW, if any PS fluid got on your paint, clean it off ASAP.
