04/05 owners -- how pitted is your windshield?

This question is to the 04 05 owners. How are the windshields holding up? Are they pitted really bad when driving into the sun? what is your current mileage? My RSX had a really pitted windshield for some reason which is why I am asking.

88,000 km (~ 52,000 miles?). Fairly pitted, but I'm not going to replace it until it actually cracks, as the OEM glass, I've always found, has the best optics (even over PPG or other aftermarket glass).

It was very poor. I had mine replaced after a rock left a star on it.

Is this our new thing to complain about? Has Acura developed a new "soft glass" that pits easier?

Windshields will pit and scratch, it's just the way they are.

Not complaining. Just trying to figure out if I was following too closely or maybe using highways that were full of sand and grit. I want to try to minimize the damage.

I think it comes with driving fast. My front bumper looks terrible. But at 90 mph daily driving, I can't imagine a bug landing on it that won't leave a mark. To prevent damage, drive S-L-O-W-L-Y. But I won't.

I dont know man, I have been driving for more than 8 years, no windshield problems. I've had the TSX for two years and have two cracks going across the windshield

Very bad! Mine has "Star", "Bull's Eye", etc, etc. You name it I have it.

I think the reason is that the windshield is very steep to give us more headroom. That's why all the rocks and craps can hit it right on to crack it.

I've got plenty of pits; matches my front bumper too. 42,000 miles. It's getting annoying that I may just replace it.
