Thanks for all the compliments, guys!

No, I am not rubbing and I am really surprised. In person, my car looks low already with a 1 1/2 finger gap at the rear and a 2 finger gap in front.

They are actually quieter than the T1-r's. But the Toyo's are stickier and has better cornering abilities.

oh no. I'm a handling junkie, manage to found some empty mountain paths i go occasionally. I had those Generals in mind for cheap performance. I was just worried about the road noise for everyday driving. If you say TR-1s are better, I might have to go with them. Only question is, if I can stand the TR-1s road noise on my everyday commute.

The T1-R's are quieter than stock. When, I first installed them I was surprised at how quiet they were. But for some reason, I find the General quieter.
If you are to ask me on which tire to choose, I would go for the Toyo's. They have higher handling limits.

When do you hear the tires the most for the Generals and the Toyos? I didn't remember the stock being too loud, perhaps I didn't really pay attention to actually hear them out. My falkens fk452 I had on before didn't really make any noise - other then when coming to a slow down at high speed, or that might be my brakes? =P

A good test of tire noise would be on the freeway. Bring down your windows and listen. If you hear the rolling of the tires too much, then it is not a quiet tire. The Toyo's and Generals have similar rolling sounds but the I believe the latter has less.
FYI, the Generals have a thread wear of 380 compared to the 280 of the Toyo's which means the Gens will last longer
