Virtualbong's Modified NBP TSX

I waited until this weekend to put on my wheels since I knew it was going to be a gorgeous weekend and I was going to a WRX/STi meet (w/ my bro who has a modified 04 WRX).

Here's the list of mods since I first acquired my TSX (2 months ago):

- OEM Body Kit
- Neuspeed Koni Yellow Shocks
- Neuspeed Sport Springs
- 35% Llumarstar Window Tint
- 18" TSW Volcanos
- 225/40/18 Falken Ziex 512s

And before everyone asks me about the house, no its not mine, nor is it my parent's house. Its my friend's parent's house. They just finished building it a couple months ago and I was there for a bbq. Lets just say...one of their neighbors are the Farrelly Brothers.

The wheels are 18x7.5 w/ +40 offset.

I lowered the rear an extra .25"

Paint the calipers with FOLIA TEC lacquer. Glossy Black.
Debadge the acura and tsx.

After that thens its a wrap. You're done.

Simple and clean.

Looks good. Those volcanos are a hot wheel.

Virtual,

Looks GREAT! A very clean, tasteful look. The time you spent in researching your modifications really shows in how well it all came out.

I suggest applying some Zaino to top off this round of mods. It will seriously cause your paint to pop. I Zaino'd my car 3 months ago. When I took it to the recent TSX meet in So. California, people were still commenting on how glossy my paint looked. It is also great protection. If you decide to do this, make sure you claybar your car first.

Yeah seriously, that'd be awesome if we could get a photoshoot of our cars. I still love your car though because you've got that great contrast between the silver and CF hood. Its too bad that you can't remove your spoiler without putting down some money to plug up the holes and repaint, but soon enough. I think you should replace the entire trunk with a CF trunk. That way you can keep your spoiler and change it up from time to time.

Jiggaman - I purchased the wheels from www.wheelsdirectonline.com. Get in contact with Derek from there. He was awesome to deal with. He even called me up to tell me that the wheels came in earlier than expected and that he was mounting and balancing right then.

Savage - You'd be fine with the A-Spec suspension in New England. You could get my setup as well and get moderate lowering springs with Neuspeed Koni Yellows so that you can lift it .5" for the winter. You can check out my ride at the upcoming meet.

Alterzgo - I've never used Zaino or claybay, but I will be putting the Klasse AIO, Klasse HGS and then some type of carnauba wax.

ACCURATEin - I actually think I will paint the calipers glossy black. I don't mind the stock painted calipers now, but maybe I'll paint it right before the Massachusetts Meet. Thanks for the idea!

And I thought my car was complete, but something was missing from the look. And that's the M3 Replica Lip Spoiler. I didn't think I was going to get it but the multi spoke rims made the car much sportier and the rear lip spoiler would be a great complement to the entire look, so I'm going to order it right now

Savage - I got my tint done at Easter Glass Tinting in Charlestown, MA. www.tint-it.com. You could also try www.tint-king.com in Billerica, MA. I called these people up about the tint scratches and putting on moleskin and they were pretty nice. They didn't know about the tint scratch issue and they recommended just removing the weather strip, but I don't want to do that. I'm just going to install moleskin when I figure out where to purchase it. Gotta do it soon since its getting hot out.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! It has really come out exactly what I imagined my car to look, which is a great feeling!

I have some small mods coming up, but won't start the performance mods until next year. Next year will be:

Greddy Evo2 Catback
Injen CAI
Comptech Rear Sway Bar

And if I'm crazy enough, Hondata...

Yep, that was me. I knew I wouldn't be totally satisfied with the stock look without the OEM Kit.

The only problem is that I want to keep my mod expenses next year to $1000. And if I get the Injen CAI ($200), Greddy Evo2 ($755), Comptech Rear Sway Bar ($150), that would be around $1000, but adding the Hondata would make it close to $2000. I need to start saving for a downpayment on a house.

Hmm... that's a bit tough then...

How about just Injen CAI and Hondata then? And get the rear sway as a birthday gift off your girlfriend (fiancee?)

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Not engaged here, I just want to start saving up for a house since that's the grown up talking in me, LOL.

I guess I could do that, but like I've said before, I'm more looks than performance. I'm still happy with the 200HP, so I probably won't have the need for more power for a few more years, which is why I'm doing the list I mentioned above, then Audio/Video in the 3rd year, THEN maybe Hondata.

LOL, that could work out perfectly for you then, but you'll miss out on modifying the bad boy, LOL.

Well, I'm sure you'll figure out the down payment by Sunday. If you have any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.

i wish that's the case. she wants it to look good, and she already mentioned the wheels to me on sunday first and foremost, i like the car to be a better handler than stock so i'll be looking forward to the same suspension set-up like yours. then again, who knows! the weather is nice now and am sure she certainly wants the wheels first

VB that looks sweet, let me know where you got your lip spoiler from because i'm interested in one also. Also, I'm not sure which of them people found to be the best fit...it's somewhere on here, but I'm too lazy to look through several pages of threads.

How's that suspension working out for you? Any bad moments yet?

LOL, that's hilarious. Well, yeah that was me. I was bringing my gf home and we stopped for some ice cream. You should of stopped and said hi...though you obviously didn't know we were at the ice cream shop.

I'm over there alot because she lives in Malden, so maybe we'll get together and do a little photoshoot sometime.

madman - I just PM'd you the link of where I got it. $85 painted and shipped.

Phillip - I'm glad your wifey wants it to be unique. That's the only way to go IMO.
