UK Honda Accord Type-S PICS!

Hi all,

Been viewing the forum for a while...finally took some pics of the car so now will post for your viewing pleasure .

The car is all standard apart from the A-spec Suspension kit, 17" Penta alloys and Spoiler, hope you all like it....i certainly do lol.

One thing I'd like to ask is what size tire do you guys have on your Acuras? mine are 225/45 R17 with Yokohama AVS Db.
hope to be more useful in the future. Sorry for the seemingly dirty pics....it's dirt season here is UK at the moment...

Ofcourse little Mr. Mean is not part of the standard package......women lol....goes well with the car tho

What an awesome car! I've got two questions for you. What shift knob are you running? It looks exactly like the one on my TSX, which I got from an Accord HFP kit.
And could you post some pics of the front wheels? I've got the A-Spec setup on my car and I'm curious to see what it looks like with 225/45/17s.......our cars come standard with 215/50/17, which is a little larger overall, but there are really no good performance tires in that size.

hi all..thanks for the comments, will get more pics for ya Lanny. The shift knob is the same as that used in the Civic Type-R we have in UK, will post more pics of the wheels and shifter for you later.

Also I agree with the steering wheel part...everyone else thinks everyone else is strange lol....guess it's just depends what people grew up with.

Looks good to me!

In fact, i would love to know if that grill fits the TSX perfectly? (not like the JDM euro-r grill)

I wouldn't think so. It's the USDM mandated bumpers that cause the problem with the Euro-R grill, and I'm sure that would carry over to the Accord Type-S grill as well.

Thanks for the additional pics. Looks really good with the Silver Star rims and the A-spec setup. Love the factory smoked sides as well. I want those here so bad .....

Nice car. I checked out the Accords while I was visiting this summer. I was born in and used to live in Leicester. I wish that we got the diesel version over here. It's pretty nice.

Yet more pics of the interior in the dark!

Here are yet more pics of the interior...but it was dark so the digital camera had probs with focus....it doesn't quite capture that red glow from the dials also...

no the accord isn't as big a seller as the likes of Ford or Vauxhall (Opel) in the UK...it more for the people in the know lol and want more for dirving ability than prestige. You will find that in UK people get so carried away with prestige....many would go out and buy a BMW. Merc or Audi even though they know the Accord will be the cheapest and most reliable to run in the long run. I find the handling on the honda to be most impressive and love the shift feel, driving position and weight distribution of the pedals, to name but a few things.

In many european cars either the clutch is heavy and the accelerator is light or vice versa making the cars slightly less comfortable to drive. All this is even before you begin to mention prices!!! my accord is about £6000 cheaper than say the 325i Sport which is the nearest competitor, since i got the A-spec suspension and spoiler etc!!! Now i just could not justify paying that amount for a badge. dunno what it is like in the US about all this prestige nonsense

Your 17" Penta alloys looks good on the car. Simple style but nice. Is that an OEM wheel purchased from Honda??

IMO its the TSX and TL that's outta place
check out the 05 RSX grille

(can't find an upclose pic of an 05 RSX so an 05 integra will do, btw 05 JDM and USDM DC5's have same grille)
RSX gets the honeycomb style grille, why can't the TSX
just cuz it has to be chrome it makes it an acura?
i hate this false illusion that it has to look like a luxury car to be a luxury car
o well
guess i'm too picky

lol......i don't really understand what you guys are talking about when saying the steering is on the wrong side, 1st shift is so far away etc etc

I mean if that the way you learn that's the way you get used to.....that's all there is to it, there no absolute one way to drive. I really don't understand all the fuss?

Also the penta Alloys are extra, they are not the standard wheel.

Also the red gauges are only for the Type-S model, the pics don't really show the red glow it's quite nice, when driving you only see the numbers and not anything else in the display...maybe a european thing.....the standard models have a strange yellow/green dials which i hate lol

Yes all i can say is that it was a very very nice fitment...AFTER i got the silly clips out of the bottom of the original grill...i decided to zip tie the bottom since i didn't want to manhandle the Mugen grill when it comes time to sell...plus i broke some of the clips .

I'm very happy with it, it really does fit excellent to the UK spec car even the radiator cover went back spot on, all that had to be trimmed was a small bit of plastic near the hood release to make it look spot on......it didn't really need to be removed but i thought i might as well

I will recommend it to any european car or the euro R.
