So I had this installed today (phase 1)...
I had a stock diameter lighweight crank pulley made for me by NST with the goal being to free up some additional power while maintaining current boost levels (any smaller would underdrive the blower). Thanks to Mike @ NST for the pulley and Josh @ Excelerate for the install - professional as always (well, sorta) .
Quality of the pulley is excellent. Comparing weight to the stock pulley is night and day. I didn't put it on a scale, but I'd guess the NST pulley weighs 4lbs and the stock is closer to 8-9lbs. Initial driving impressions are good. It definitely feels more alive down low, and the RPMs rise a bit faster. It's also easier to rev-match my downshifts. More driving impressions to come...
I also changed out the OEM transmission fluid to Redline. I only have 22k miles on the car, but the difference is pretty noticeable. Any slight notchiness is gone, nothing but buttery smoothness. It feels better than it did new.
...oh, and teaser pics of phase 2:

Ooh, I know what phase 2 is! I know, I know! Haha... I'll keep these lips sealed. Can't wait to see how hard she pulls with this round of mods done. The little park near work might not be a suitable place to stretch her legs anymore with the power you'll be putting down...

Very nice Mod Dayta!
Are you going to dyno by chance?
How much of a difference did this lightweight pulley make? Does it rev a lot quicker especially in the low range?
I'm definitely considering this mod, so let me know what you think
Also, how hard was install, that's the only thing that kind of turns me off to this mod. I heard that Crank pulley is a b*tch to get off!

As for the install, as long as you have the right tools for the job, it shouldn't be too bad. It also helps to have someone stomping on the brakes to give the other person more leverage to remove the crank bolt.
I know it's a little premature, but as of now I would personally recommend this mod for all S/C owners out there. It makes the car feel so much more alive .

I'm basically willing to sell it if someone gives me the asking price (BM thread here). Since the car and mods are all paid off in full, my eyes have started to wander a little bit. However, I still absolutely love my car and have no problems keeping it for a while longer .

This car is going to pull so hard... I'll be sure to post a trip report after DAYTA has that thing installed and we take a little spin!
As an aside, every time I even hear his car's engine, it makes it harder for me to not order a S/C kit...
