Sneek Peek At My Next Mod Coming Soon
I am so excited I cannot keep it a seceret anymore.
No its not mugen, its custom by me. So, now there is a grille that fits 04-05 usdm tsx's perfectly, I am just the only one who has it for now... I did this because I want to keep the chrome trim and also have oem fitment plus add a hexxed mesh insert made by hexxedgrilles. I am still working on it. I really want it to come out perfect no waviness or blemishes. And no I am not driving around like this I got a
back up grille.

I was thinking of doing a similar thing, except you beat me to getting that grille from the Black Market section!
anyway, nice... show us what the mesh looks like, my idea was actually to find a similar honeycomb mesh from the Euro-R grille (which I think looks the best), and mounting the center round thingy that holds the 'A' emblem onto it. So basically it's just a perfect fit JDM Accord Type-S grille

LOL, sorry.. Thanks, I will take more pics when I get the mesh. Damn, too bad I threw away the insides, I would have sent them to you if I knew you wanted it.

Great job man. I think it would be great if you could post some DIY methods on how you're getting the insides smooth and consistent after removing the cross members. This could be a great project for other forum members now that you've broken some new ground.

wow . . . I would definitely love a grill like the Euro-R one(black plastic mesh) but with the ability to slap on the A . . . anyone succeed in making such a thing or could at least confirm if it is feasible to do?

Thats awesome..i Like the customized grill look. very sexy.
mine is customized too. These are HID auxiliary lights at 5000K D1S bulbs.
(fog light on only)

I'd love to see your grille.. I saw your thread about the HIDs when you got them, I think I left a comment but if I didnt al I have to saw is WOW those things will make blind people jump out the way of your car (Hawt) . I orriginally wanted HIDs in my fogs but then a light bulb appeared over my head and now I have LED fogs. They are not anywhere near as bright but the are so0o0 cool.. Please post some pics of your grille..

lookin good so far , so what does it loook like behind the "bondo", what are u using to keep it "together" can't wait to see it finished.
I also noticed u sorta sanded the chrome, so are u plannin to match paint that too?
BTW have you seen the TL version but with carbon fiber, it was also a customized stock grill by an Azine member.

I used epoxy to close the holes. Then I sanded it as best as I could to match the contour using a flat paint mixing stich wraped with 600 grit sand paper. Then some special very fine bondo, then sanded again. Then some more bondo to touch up the little imperfections and now primer. I will sand it down today and have it painted tomorrow.

I made them myself. No DYI, sorry but too many things to explain. I applied for a patent on them because I was going to sell them but it is too much work and I dont have all the tools I need here in miami. I would have to go to my dads house
in naples to make them because I need a table saw a band saw a drill press and a some ther tools I dont have here. I wish they were easy to make but it just too much work to get them to point in the right angle and that is why I havent made any other sets. Maybe I will in the future but for now I am focusing on other projects.
Thank you.
