Post pics of blue light?

can people please post pics of the ambiance blue light shining down on their shifter? is this light only on the 6 speed, or on the auto also? and is there any way to turn it off?

A) I don't have a pic

B) It comes with all TSX's

C) It is controlled with the dashboad intensity knob so yes if you let your dash go completely dark then the blue light will also be off.

There is no way to turn it off unless you turn off all of the dash lights. It is EXTREMELY hard to get a picture that accurately shows how much light the blue light puts out on the shifter and the middle console area unless you have a kick ass camera with an excellent shutter speed.

I have attempted, but it really doesn't do the light justice...I would suggest going to the dealership and turning on the lights in a TSX and seeing for yourself...

There are some picture attempts at http://imageevent.com/tsx_wiz/mytsx

Here is a bad example of it:

Why would you want to turn it off? The blue light's one of the sharpest things in the interior.

yeah, i the blue light is one of the coolest things in the car...i would've gotten a vw just for the blue ambience if they didn't have $hit reliability

i was actually trying to figure out if you can just turn the blue light brighter???

Tell me about it... I have a 2000 VR6 Jetta, which l looooved driving. The problem is I got to see waaaaaaaaaay to much of my car dealer. Not huge things, but lots of anoying little things

So when my lease comes up in march '04, I'm giving my keys back and walking across the street to the Acura dealer and geting myself a nice black TSX with tan leather - I think they call it parchment (my Jetta was dark blue with tan leather).

I will miss the german feel of the car and the incredible V6 and handling... but not for long... I'm sure the TSX will make me forget pretty fast...at least I hope

Good choice, TSXsoon. I just traded in my 2001 Jetta GLX VR6 for a SSM/Ebony TSX and have no regrets at all. The Jetta was fun to drive and had gobs of power for such a small car, but it was one little problem after another with that POS. You'll be much happier with the TSX!

TSXinCA,

Do you find that the TSX has enough power compared to the VW VR6 ? Or do you long for that ample torque ? Did you get a 6MT or the automatic ?

Thanks
