Pixelharmony's TSX Dropped

First off I'd like to thank moda_way for taking his time and working on the coilover installation for me. Everything went smoothly and was done in 3:30 hours (coilover and Ingalls camber). I'd also like to thank TSX.fury for selling me these beautiful coilovers at an awesome price!

Parts:
Buddyclub N+ Coilovers
Ingalls Rear camber Kit

Here are the pictures after the installation, prior to me adjusting the height and getting proper alignment. I also have some pictures of moda_way's TSX as well.

Here are some pictures after I adjusted and aligned my car. I'd have to say adjusting the ride height was a little tougher than I expected. I ended up doing a two finger gap all around.

Yeah, pardon my dirty wheels too!! Your car looks good!!!

I should've removed your hood prop. I didn't even think to do it once we popped the hood.

I was shocked but this was the easiest set of camber kits to install. The bolts came out so easily, unlike mine and CKcentral's, it was a bit of a battle on ours.

I'm glad the install went well yesterday, I would've felt so bad if we ended up taking 5 hours on it.

Yeah my car is a mess too, I'll be sure to get a porter cable and try my best to detail the car.

Looks good, yeah adjusting coilovers is a pain making sure each wheel is the exact height you want. I actually went 1 finger all the way on mine

I have to admit I was thinking the same thing -- not that you should go so far as to remove it, but that the lip spoiler preserves the clean, sharp lines of the rear end that is one of my favorite parts of the TSX.

Two-finger gap looks perfect. Sooner or later, I'm sure I'll get to lowering my car a little.

And don't try to use the "it's been raining" excuse on us.
The weather looks plenty fine for a car wash.

But anywho, drop looks good, now wash it and get some wheels hehe

edit: and CG's rule!

You need to raise the back of the car like 1 inch its sitting way to low the back it doesnt look right at all and also wash those cars.

Yeah.. I know I should clean my car, but the thing is this past month I've done so much driving that my car just gets dirty all over again. I'm planning on doing a total detail on the exterior as soon as I get back to Chicago.

All that dirt got on their on my trip to moda_ways place... I got lost and pulled into a construction site to turn around.

Yup.. it was pretty crazy... must've been -3 degrees or so.. it went to -2 after raising it to where it is.

I did.

First few pics are prior to me correcting the height and aligning the tires... check the other pics if they loaded up correctly.

Both cars look great, simple and elegant. Could there possibly be a new set of wheels to compliment the drop, in the near future Pixel?

you're driveway found a match made in heaven.
and the concrete looks killer too. both the driveways and the sidewalk.

after seeing the exact models in the same color side by side, i think i agree that the lip is much cleaner than the spoiler. the spoiler isnt horrible, but it's not as low profile as i'd like.

Well I was back in Cincinnati for the installation, but there are a lot of TSX's on campus... none of them belong to Azine though

Haha yeah, I have huge fingers... but yes I can snugly fit two fingers (index and middle) on all 4 sides evenly. It's a tad bit higher in the back... I'm talking like maybe 1cm but I got the sort of drop I was looking at.

I did a post about the driving impressions in the suspension page. But to sum it up when these are set on the softest dampening.. it really feels like stock. Not harsh at all IMO. And yeah I did come from stock suspension.

If you only wanted to go to a two finger gap - why did you choose coils? And, why put a camber kit on? Couldn't you have just gone with Eibach Pro kit springs and either leave the stock struts or go w/ a tokico blue or koni yellow??

I am a TSX noob - so if I am way off, please let me know.

BTW, looks good. That is the drop I would go with -- but I wasn't thinking coilovers....

HAHAHAHA... I'm at the dirty car comments!! Truth be told, I've been concentrating on selling my house and not keeping the car/wheels clean. I am running some pretty aggressive pads too, though that is no excuse. As soon as all the contracts and such get signed, the car will get washed. There is about 5 coats of Zaino under all that dirt.

Tokico doesn't make TSX shocks, Koni's are $600, springs are $150. For $750 you are right up there for the price of Tanabe's, why not get coilovers and have the fully adjustability?

I didn't mean to get you in trouble along with me for having a dirty TSX.... I should've taken pictures AFTER we cleaned our cars. Maybe sometime later in the summer.

Yeah I pretty much wanted full adjustability, in case I changed my mind. Plus I got the coilovers on a killer deal, pretty much Koni's themselves would've cost more than my setup. Also I got the camber kit because with that drop it still had -2 degrees, which is enough to wear my tires out unevenly (like they have much life in them anyway).

Long story short.. I let my girlfriend take my car out one night because I was too lazy to drive. She is okay at driving stick, but still learning. It was icy and half my rims got owned when she slid and hit a curb. The other side was my fault when learning how to parallel park for the first time when I got on campus

But most definately new rims will be coming along once I save up some $$$ I'm really digging the Mugen NR's but they are so damn expensive.
