Pics...JDM Pedals

Well, I just put in my pedals a couple of hours ago. Obviously, the one problem is the dead pedal which I had to put in upside down in order to cover up the factory holes. None the less...it still looks pretty tight. Enjoy

Love the way the pedals look!

Where did you get them, and how much? How was the install? Did you have to drill holes for the clutch and the brake? what about the dead pedal?

Sorry for all the questions, I am just excited to get my order in.

I bought them at Racing Dimension (http://www.racingdimension.com/index...ROD&ProdID=245) for $199.95. They are true Honda parts and the gas pedal is a complete replacement.

The install looked pretty easy and only cost me $50.00.

They had to drill three small holes in the clutch and brake...then they ribbited them in place. The owm pads will cover up the holes if you ever decide to make it stock again.

The dead pedal was tricky because it only covered up the holes if I put it in upside down. The carpet was too thick to ribbit it, so I shaved off the pegs on back of the JDM dead pedal and used heavy duty vel cro to adhease it! Worked like a charm!

Where did you purchase the aluminum trims for the interior?

As for the pedal, Looks tight, I might consider them as well.

It was thown in when I purchased the car! You can purchase it though any dealer or through Acura of Escondido via eBay. Do a search and you can find his eBay name.

Have not got in after raining yet, but there is plenty of grip! It appears the way they are designed, which seems to be logical, is that there is more grip on the clutch and brake pedals. The rubber grommets are flush on the gas pedal, but stick out more on the clutch and brake to provide more optimum grip. Don't want to have too much friction when letting off the gas pedal.

Thanks...lol! I am a firm believer of you pay for what you get and doing it right the first time. Personally, it didn't bother me paying that much because I am very anal and this jdm set was the only one that appeased my taste. I say do it

Looks good

How is the original dead pedal attached to the floor? I'm guessing you removed the original dead pedal and attached the JDM dead pedal on the carpet w/velcro?

On the OEM dead pedal on the left, I circled the pegs which clip in underneath the pedal. As you can see on the JDM dead pedal, the pegs on the right are lined up differently and will not clip in properly. I shaved off the JDM pegs with an exacto knife, and then used Velcro to secure it.

Did you remove the OEM gas pedal w/ brackets and replace with the JDM pedal w/ bracket? I read somewhere that the brackets are not direct replacement because of the CL7 being RHD

Yes, because the JDM bracket is backwards, it is much easier to use the JDM bracket. ***The JDM pedal is compatible with the OEM bracket.

1. We took out the OEM Gas Pedal and related brackets

2. Took the OEM gas pedal off the bracket.

3. Connected the JDM pedal to the OEM bracket.

4. Reinstalled.

I cut off a piece of the carpet and filled the hole with that. So I have the dead pedal installed the right way.

Any pics? I really did not want to mess with any stuff like that, so that is why I did it the way I did.

I'll take some pics. First I had the dead pedal the same way like you. But I was not satisfied with that. Now it's much better IMO.

I'd rather wait on the pedals from the new Civic SI. Presumed that the part is cheaper cuz it's from a Civic. I maybe wrong though

Yes...it comes with 6 rivets and the gas pedal bracket. I used the OEM bracket though, because the one that comes with the kit is backwards because the Euro-R is right-hand drive.
