Photos From November 11th StL Acura Meet

Thought I would share some pics I took at a recent Saint Louis Acura Meet. The thread where I posted them can be found here in the meets section.

The two TSXs featured were mine (milano red '06) and another member whom I don't know the screen name for. Enjoy!

You guys need to reduce the number of people at your meets. Its too overcrowded.

Very Clean Guys!

Bleser, the last picture makes me think, any future plans for tints?

Bleser, I know we had this conversation before, but I just really like your wheels.

I'm thinking of getting wheels in the spring and just using my stockies for winter. Just wondering if you all think that those wheels, but in 17s, would look too small? I'm not planning on lowering or going up to 18s, so I'm not sure how they'll look. I'm thinking it's either these wheels or RonJon Servos, both in 17s.

Bleser used to have tints in his car and removed them because he preferred it that way.

I do agree that tints would look nice, however.

Yep, what he said. I used to have tint but hated the greenish hue it gave my interior from the outside and I greatly prefer the clean/clear look to fully expose the milano red/parchment combo.

Thanks!

Honestly, if you are 100% set on 17s, then do not get the ASA wheels (or any mesh-style wheel, for that matter). Since the spokes of this style of wheel doesn't extend to the edge of the wheel, it already has a smallish appearance... some people think my 18s look like 17s. I used to have this wheel in 17 on a different car and they look goofy and too "obviously" small. The Servo, although a totally different type of wheel, will look much better as a 17 since its spokes go to the edge of the rim.

Just curious, why are you stuck on 17s? The 18s aren't any more expensive (but yes, you do have to buy tires) and 225/40-18 tires are relatively cheap. Also, the suspension setup I have can be had for < $150 and installed for about the same price, and is completely worth it.

If you get 17s, you'll wish you went with 18s and a minor drop every day you walk to your car... I know I did.

Darn, that's what I figured. I'm just not big into modding since I'm really trying to save for a house (and I've never modded before ), so I'm just trying to go a slightly cheaper route. I also just bought new tires this year (snows and UHP all-seasons). That's why I'd prefer to just stick with 17s even though I know 18s look better.

I see. Well, stick to a wheel that has the spokes to the edge of the wheels (like the Servos) and you'll be happy with 17s.

Bleser,

I'm bumping this thread to hopefully get your attention, since for some reason I cannot PM you. I boughtmy wife a TSX yesterday, but she likes the wood trim. It's going to be a cmas gift, and I know you swapped yours out. Would you be willing to part with it if you still have it?
