Photo Request: W I D E Stance
So has anyone seen a TSX with a "wide" stance? I don't mean the extremes of wide-body kits, but simply wheels with large enough offsets and/or wheel spacers to make the wheels flush with the fenders, and then low (but not tucked). I'm think Audi-style here, not gangster-low.
Example:
Anyone?

Not with the wide body flares they offer standard with S4s, the closest would be the TSX concept A-spec car, since it had additional wide flares. I have never seen a true wide body type TSX other than the concept one mentioned. Otherwise I am thinking it would be like the pics posted above done with offsets but no flaring on the body work.

l7h8626's car is what I'm talking about. Nice!
I agree that without the fender flares it is hard to get that wide-look, but I imagine that if you put l7h8626's car next to a stock TSX it would have a dramatically different stance.
marinetsx's is nice, but has heavy body modifications involved, which I won't be doing.

I was gonna say that widebody TSX mentioned after, but I figured what for since the OP said "no wide body kits"
this is HaPPy jU1cE's car incase you didnt go search for it:
they do tuck a bit more though.
and yes both the Work wheels and the iForged wheels are for sale by each member respectively...

HaPPy jU1cE's car is nice, but a bit too low for my taste.
How come no one uses wheel spacers? I think I'd rather keep my wheels the same size and just put some 10 or 20mm spacers on the rear wheels to make them as flush as the fronts. Anyone ever seen this on a TSX? I did it on my '03 Passat and it looked awesome. This allows you still be able to rotate your tires as well.

I will have a great example of this in a little less than a month but until I have pictures to go along with the new wheel setup I wont be spilling the beans on my new wheels.
also you do know that audi is running stretched tires to pull that look off.

I sold the car, though, becuase the black color just drove me NUTS. It looked like it does in the pictures for about 15 minutes, and then it was a nice shade of dark grey the rest of the time. The passat also just didn't have a sporty transmission and felt like it just wanted to glide along instead of being athletic (a la TSX).
I did love it, though, and kept it in the family. My brother drives it now.

can't say I'm a fan of deep dish rims (especially not on hondas)
an agressive stance.. why not -but gotta keep those wheels within the guards or it'll look ghetto

Thanks for all the pointers, guys.
I'm not really looking to have deep-dish wheels, just wheels that line up well with the outside fender of the car.

do they really make a 195/40/18? or 205/35/18? not that i know in usa. even if they do....do you really want to run a smaller than honda civic size on a tsx...

Somehow, I knew this thread would contain a VW or Audi. TSX's weren't made to be wide cars, IMO. They have a more upright look to them and if you want to go wide, I would suggest a widebody kit like mentioned earlier in this thread. VW's' and Audi's are wider standing cars than the TSX, thus, they can rock the wider wheels. I just don't know if it would look good on a TSX. I could be surprised though.
