Phase 6 (near complete) + Garage "Photoshoot"

Another round of mods have been installed, though this phase isn't nearly as in depth as previous ones.

- Added the full Euro-R lip kit. I ordered it through Excelerate, and it came in about 3 months. This is the first aesthetic mod I've done in a while, but I think it completes the look of the car. While it was getting installed, I also pulled the plastic covers off the front bumper inserts to allow more airflow into the Icebox horn.

- Installed the Skunk2 front camber kit. Ever since I lowered the car, I was annoyed that my front camber settings were off in the front by -0.4 degrees (-0.1 FL, -0.5 FR). I've now been able to dial in balanced camber settings, as well as match them to what I run in the rear (currently -1.0 degrees at all four corners). I can definitely feel the car has more grip in the corners and is noticeably more predictable. I can also induce more oversteer than before by lifting off mid-corner. Now all I need is wider rubber...

- Relocated the battery to the trunk using a Taylor relocation kit. Ran 1-gauge wire to the rear and haven't run into issues yet (knock wood). I have an Optima RT 75/35 which weighs a ton (~35lbs). My intention was to improve F/R weight distribution to allow for better handling. It's not a night and day difference, but I do notice that turn-in response is noticeably quicker. Momentum shifts are also a bit easier to control, so I can carry more speed through corners.

And now for my attempt at a photoshoot. I might have one more step to do before Phase 6 is complete, but since I'm still a bit undecided whether or not I'm going to do it, I figured I'd take some shots now.

I borrowed a friends Nikon P90 and wasn't impressed with the quality of the photos, so I think my next purchase might be a DSLR (maybe D5000?). Constructive criticsm is always welcome:

Also took some quick shots of the engine bay and trunk to show the battery results from relocating the battery:

Stay tuned for more phases ...

Looking good Dayta

How is the car running nowadays? My car is running just great and is really loving this cool air!

Also, have you heard that someone is out there making an aftercooler for the Comptech SC kits? It's just beginning testing for the RSX right now, but since our kits are very similar, it should work for our cars too when complete. Let me know if you want some info, I think he is from the PA area. You may be able to test with him.

Well, keep it up man! I'm in the process of buying a house so all of my mods are on hold. You're gonna have to hold it down for awhile!

I remember CMF. That was way back in the day. Can't believe I've been on the forum this long.

Pics look great, I hadn't seen the car since you got the kit put on it. It enhances the look without being in-your-face about it. Shit I need to wash my car...

Holy crap, I can't believe how close our cars are aesthetically. I remember his car was the first one posted in the "Modified Gallery" and the reason I chose the Kreutzers. I guess beauty is in the details...about 10psi worth .

Car is running great, especially in the sub-50 degree weather here in CT. It's funny because my car has noticeably more power now, and it's actually a bit harder to control. I still have a bit of a rough idle issue, but only when the HVAC is on. When it's off (which it usually is), no problems. Have you made any progress with Doug to resolve the issue?

I know they built a drop-in aftercooler for the JRSC kit, but because the manifold is different it wouldn't fit our setup. Between us and the RSX guys, there'd be a significant market for a Comptech-specific aftercooler, and if one was built I'd be the first in line to grab it. If you can, PM me the details.

Congrats on the house - that's what I'm saving up towards myself...

If I had been on the forums at that point, you would've had to fight me for those wheels ...

LucasEV, that's the 06-08 Mugen grill.

FACT: I drove this car on Sunday.

FACT 2: I was doing this the entire time: The car pulls so very, very hard. The kit looks even better in person, too - subtle but definitely not stock. It was the visual finishing touch for this beast.

Glad you enjoyed the drive . I just wish there weren't so many people blocking the way so you could've really seen how much the LSD improves the handling.

I got the relocation kit from Summit Racing and had the installation done @ Excelerate's shop (forgot to give Josh and Jamie a shoutout for a great job ). All tolled, I think it ran me about $600 or so.

Ha ha I just asked that a couple posts earlier. Not sure the price though. I'd check Heeltoe or Exelerate

Just around 2.25". I have just under a 1-finger gap all around, but that is a bit skewed since I'm also running -1.0 degree negative camber all around.
