night rain photoshoot -- CGP

I was waiting for the right time to do a photoshoot, but I kept on finding reasons not to do it. Either the weather was bad, or I was really busy, or my car wasn't clean. When I did wash it, we'd get three days of rain afterwards.

So finally I decided one night that I wanted to do a photoshoot anyway -- despite the downpour outside. I went out about midnight and took about 150 pics, many underneath a high-pressure sodium streetlight. I love the results. There's something about the look of a clean, wet car...I think it has a sophisticated look.

And here's a dry one I took a couple months ago. I like the flowers in the foreground...something different.

Pretty flowers on that last pic. lol The blue leds look nice inside. The door leds look bright as faawk! It could be the camera though.

The light overpowers everything too much, IMO. Was you shutterspeed that slow, or was the light just that bright?

Exactly right...I got the 9 LED lights for the doors, and 4 LED for the rear dome. Brief writeup at:

The light was actually pretty dim. I had the camera on a tripod and I shot most pictures at three or four different shutter speeds. Some of them were 5 seconds or longer. For the pics I posted here, these are mostly the ones with the slower/slowest shutter speeds because I liked the lighting effects.

If I was taking pics to show someone what my TSX looked like, I probably wouldn't have used the slowest shutter speed pics, because I agree that the light is a little overwhelming in a couple of these. But since everyone knows what an 04 CGP looks like by now I figured my pics needed to be a little different.

Wow I purchased the white leds from them and they are nowhere near that bright. I'll post some pics to compare after it stops rainning here.

Interesting use of color and white balance there.

Ah I see I like the one with the door open and the blue door light shining.....it looks really sweet.
