New wheels for my gf's cg tsx...

Picked these up today.. and test fitted them on the car earlier tonight. They look great in person, tein drop springs are on the way too! :thumb:

19x8 Work VS-KF 3-peice, in super black w/polished lip

sorry for the shitty pix, but i had my terrible driveway light as my only lighting. I have to send one of the wheels off to fix a bend, and then they will be on the car.

My gf's car is sponsored by my bank account.. :roflmao:
04 TSX w/ oem kit

im very confident in the fitment, the car isnt going to be slammed.. just a mild 1.5inch drop or so. I always seem to do the opposite of what ppl say cant work

well for one.. like i said.. the drop will be mild.. and we wouldnt even put 5 ppl in the car right now... we dont roll deep, at most its only 3 ppl, otherwise we take my truck, plenty of room there But we shall see.. i will prove the non-believers wrong! lol. When i had my is300, droppped 2-inches, everyone told me there was no way to stuff a 10inch wide wheel in the back without rubbing (with the offset i had)... bam.. done!

I know the specs for the IS300 are different from the TSX, but since you have experience with fitting a wider wheel than you're "supposed to," what would be needed to fit a 19 x 8.5 or 19 x 9 wheel on the TSX?

with the experience ive had with a bunch of different cars, there really is a number of aspects that go into it. Ive had times where an offset and tire size that was "perfect" didnt work. Of course, if you want to fit such a wide wheel on the tsx, your gonna need a high offset to begin with, but you may also be able to get away with something lower as long as the wheel design doesnt get in the way of the calipers, plus the tiresize has alot to do with it aswell. some tire manufacturers tire sizes are actually off a bit, meaning sometime the tire size is actually smaller than stamped or bigger sometimes, im speaking in terms of the sidewall height and the width. You could also pull it off, but may need to roll or shave the inner fender to keep from rubbing. all it takes is ALOT of measuring.. lol.

How about taking a pic of the front with a straight edge down on the side of the fender like the pic below. I'd be interested to see where the straight edge ends up on the tire.

sure, once i get the one wheel back from repair and slap the wheels back on the car, ill do it. As for coilovers.. they offer nothing to me really.. her mods are purely cosmetic, so coilovers would be a waste of my money. Plus.. i still have to put money into my own toys
