New Pics of my CGP

As much as I fought myself and talked myself out of it... I finally gave in and got new wheels and dropped my 2007 CGP.

New Mods:
Tein H. Techs
TL A-spec 18x8 +45 wrapped with General Exclaim UHP 235/40/18

I didn't really want a big drop, so the H Techs are perfect for me. I love them and surprisingly I think they're more comfortable than the stock springs... Thanks to Dennis from i-modify for the install.

The weather wasn't as nice today, so the pictures aren't that great, but enjoy

Thanks, Yup, running stock shocks. They ride really well with the stock wheels, handling was much improved and the ride was smooth, again I thought it was much better than the stock setup. WhenI put the a-specs on, the ride is a little more rough, I think it's the tires though.

Thanks! And thanks again for your help regarding the TPMS sensors, I ordered some from ebay and setup an appointment with Curry's Auto and it turns out the a-spec wheels did have the sensors already in them. At first I thought the system was reading the stock tires in my trunk (when I was driving home), but to my surprise, whatever tpms sensors in the wheels it's working.

just fyi, the TPMS will not give you an error up to 100 miles of driving. to test, I would inflate or deflate one of the tires and see if it reads it.

unsure about a camber kit, I'm going to see how the wear goes on the tires

haha yeah... kinda funny because I bought a set of the a-spec suspension during the group buy and ended up selling them, but I definitely like the drop with the H Techs

Great looking car!!

What if I install the H-tech on my A-spec struts? Will it be even lower? What do you guys think?

I am not allowed to post pics on this forum? Why is that?

It might be a tad lower but I wouldn't touch your A-Specs though. It's a good drop as it is, If you were to replace them I suggest replacing the whole thing (coilov ers, shocks/spring combo) I think you don't have enough posts yet to post your pics.

I agree. Looks great. I'm also considering the A-spec wheels a little down the road, although I prefer a lighter gray/silver color. Really haven't looked into it much yet.

Where did you pick up those H techs?

Yeah, I think these Aspecs are the Hyper Black/Platinum (200B)

I got the H Techs from High Performance Outlet off ebay for 160$ shipped, really fast shipping. I ordered them during the afternoon and I got them the next day.

That's what I thought when I got the a-spec, however it's not low enough, I believe it only lowered my car by 1/2 inch. If I put on h-tech, do you think it will be lowered by 1 inch more?

It should, close to an inch but not over. But like what I said, I'll probably let the A-spec as is, Mismatching the shock/spring combo will give you problems in the end.

How long do you think the shocks will last on the h.techs?

thanks, I'm actually pretty surprised how they turned out/look on the car. I was kinda iffy when I first bought the rims, but they look even better in person

I hope for a while... From what I could gather, I didn't see many posts about the shocks blowing compared to cars with S. Tech and other more aggressive drop springs, but I could be wrong. I have some comfort that Tein designed the springs in conjunction with OEM shocks. But we'll see how long they last.
