that last pic is the best one. a tip to get rid of some of the blurriness, use your camera's timer mode. that way when you pull your hand off the camera (on a tripod) it won't be shaking it when the shutter is firing

ruffellprefley: at's a good idea, don't know why I didn't even think about it. Also the manual for the camera mentions something about shooting a white piece of paper in the light you're shooting and saving that as the white balance??? Do you know anything about that technique??? Maybe you could shed some light on white balances???

I like the last picture alot, but I think you need a tripod for night pictures since it takes longer to capture.
For the method you mentioned, what you do is half-press on the focus, capture the brightness you want, and point it to the area where you want to take a picture. Not sure if this is the right way, someone add on.
