New Mods - 2006 ASM 6MT NAVI - Pictures

So I finally installed most of the parts I had laying around.

Modifications:

18 x 8.5 +53 WedsSport TC-005 Gunmetal Wheels
Kumho SPT 225/45-18 Tires
Work Royal Blue Lug Nuts
Tanabe SOC Type-II Coilovers
Ingalls Rear Camber Kit
Mugen Sports Grille
Chrome Lower Grille Dress Up
Debadged Trunk
Ultimate Pedals Acura / TSX engraved pedal kit
Acura OEM Accessory Silver Steering Wheel
VentureShield Custom Clear Bra
35% SolarGard Charcoal Tint

Future Mods:
3mm Rear Wheel Spacers
S2000 Exhaust Tips
WeatherTech Dark Tinted Visors
NAV2TV Conversion / Rear Back Up Camera / DVD Player
10" Fiberglass Subwoofer Enclosure / Front Component Speaker Set / Amp / Dynamat / Remove Rear Speakers

The interior pictures came out very badly so I did not include them.

Also, the exterior pictures came out sub par because it was BLINDINGLY bright outside. I will take better pictures soon once I have the next round of mods are installed.

More to come!

Zero rubbing issues so far. I do not anticipate any either.

I am going to put on some 3mm spacers just to make the rear appear a little more flush with the fender. From many angles it looks quite flush but I am sure I can squeeze another 3-5mm in there.

I recall someone on here a while ago having some S2000 tips on their Pwp Tsx. It looked good! He also sold them on here as well and I missed out big time! I seen them on ebay brand new for about $120 plus shipping too. Kinda pricey but

I bought the grille from King Motorsports. I got it in 3 business days. Got it painted for $75.

Doesn't look quite right without a kit.

The tips stick out VERY far out without the kit.

You could probably alleviate some of those problems by switching to a 225/45 Kumho SPT.

I noticed you are using a 235 on the 8" TC's.

I am using a 225 Kumho SPT on the 8.5" TC's, drives great, looks even better.

the rubbing is not on the inner part where most people refer to rubbing, so the taller fender wall would actually make it worse

my rubbing happens on the outer part of the fender

when i go over large bumps the car settles at the bottom and rubs the tire on the fender lip

it's because of the +42 and how low the car is sitting

Oops, I just noticed that I typed the wrong tire size in my original post.

I am running 225/40-18 Kumho SPT's! Not a 45 series!

I really think running this tire size will reduce your rubbing issue. This size is XL load rated also. Your steering may become a bit more responsive too with this size.

These tires very very slightly stretched on a 8.5" wide wheel.

On a 8" wheel, they would be square.

The best thing about this steering wheel is that it ALWAYS feels brand new.

All the leather steering wheels feel glossy and smoothed over after 15-20k miles. This is very easy to notice when driving an 06 loaner where the steering wheel feels like old greased leather on cars with 10k+ miles.

My car has 14k miles and since the steering wheel is not completely leather it feels just as it did on day one. The perforated leather matches the theme inside the car as well.

i was wondering about the 45 when i read your first post.

i got the 235 originally to keep the speedo as close to stock as possible, but if a 225 would help that much when it comes to scrubbing on the outer part of the fender i can take the couple % points difference

the kumhos on there now are still way too new to worry about changing them just yet, but i might look into changing them the next time around

i bought my TC's on close-out from tire rack, so they didn't have the 18x8.5 +53 available because if they did i would have snapped those up instead

No it does not get hot, it is not actually metal. It is the same metal look material that is in the cabin with a plastic coating over it.
