My TSX's Curtain Call

My TSX's Curtain Call

This thread is a nice follow up from yesterdays posted in the ‘wash and wax’ section, to fill all of you guys in I just picked up the porter cable 7424, I had some extra time on my hands today so I decided to give it a detail, the pictures don’t do the job any justice as the sun was beginning to set when I finished up.

BTW, I am no photographer or have any skills…I will try to post some better pictures soon.

Looks good... photos are quite nice! I wouldn't say you don't have any skills.

The problem with detailing your color (white metallic) is the reward is little versus doing the same detailing job on a non-metallic dark color (such as black or red). I had an Infiniti G35 coupe in the same color as your car and although it looked clean after I detailed it it just didn't look much better than a normal wash & dry. Black or red cars, on the other hand, look dirty all the time but when you spend the time on them they REALLY reward you with deep, clean color.

RJ Servos. I wanted to stick with 17s and didn't want anything too expensive. I hope they look good!

My poor car made it through snow and ice today going to and from work, but at least I went in late and left at 11:30. But even with snow tires, I was sliding around and almost went into a guardrail.

You scared me a bit, I thought I was going to open the thread and find pictures of your busted ass TSX in a ditch, up a tree or impaled on the CN Tower or something.

I wonder how many other cold weather TSX's have a pile of parts waiting for spring as we do. I'm jealous that you still get weather nice enough to do a nice clean job like that.

Car's lookin great, I know who I'm asking for advice come spring time for cleaning supplies.

Rub it in why don't you TSXDriver.

Ya well................. in 200 years when the earth's rotation is off axis and global warming has drastically changed the weather patterns and it's warm in Canada and Hawaii is....... is....... well whatever they think will happen to the Islands in 200yrs, THEN we'll see who's waxing their TSX in the middle of February!

Showed you.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go scrape ice off the driveway whilst it's warm enough.

Thanks for the compliments guys, as candidly explained by Chadwick it’s still cold here, we probably wont expect better weather until late march, which really sucks. On a side note my father’s 08 Camry SE, I have never even seen it clean, since he bought it in late October. I can’t wait for better weather, salt + snow + the cold SUCKS, I love Toronto
