My New '05 TSX w/Navi

Hello Y'all. I've been browsing the forums here for quite some time now, and have finally decided to enter my first post. I bought my '05 TSX w/Navi on 9/16, almost right after I saw how the '06 looked. Though I would love the memory seats, bluetooth, and small power boost, I just didn't like the new look and couldn't let an awesome deal pass. Plus, I got $1600 more for my trade-in at Tustin Acura than any other dealer. It's still a work in progress so I'm sure everyone here will say, "Definitely needs a drop!"

Brand New and Stock

Less than a month later, added some old 17" Nakayama Phantoms from a previous car, got my first wax, then took off to Vegas!

For some reason, I always pick the worst times to take photos. I just ordered a lip spoiler from XenonSpecialists on eBay, so maybe after I put it on, I'll have better photos.

Thanks. I referred 2 people to the same salesman within a couple of weeks after my purchase.

funny i bought my car about the same time.

basically 3 reasons i went with it.

1. is250 was ridiculously expensive and small inside (after i finally sat in it)
2. the 06 looked funny.
3. insanely great price at the time.

I bought my 5at w navi at Tustin too. How much did you get it for?
Also, your tint looks cool. Would you be able to recommend your tint guy to me?
Thanks!

I got mine @ $27,303 which includes destination, but not tax/licensing. That took about 15 minutes to negotiate, but my trade in took 3 hours to negotiate. I got $7600 for a Protege5 with 2 accidents, instead of $6000 like South Coast Acura was offering.

My tint guy is Sonny's Tint in Westminster. I'll get u some more info once I get home. Currently at work. It was $120 for dark tint all around, w/lifetime warranty. Any bubbles or scratches, just take it back and he'll do it @ no charge. 5 of my brothers go there too.

Actually, surprisingly, I don't agree with Vanos about the wheels you have now. SirTodd, keep them on!

Also, didja know that we're having a SoCal meet this weekend up in Pasadena?

Well, the wheels came off a 2002 Mazda Protege5 which had 215/40/17 tires. When I first put them on the TSX, it did look a lil' weird to me just because our tires are 215/50/17s. They looked too fat. But in the end, I still liked them more than stock and all of my buddies do too.

I'm planning on getting either the A-Spec suspension or the Eibach Pro-Kit suspension system very soon. My buddy works at the parts dept. at an Acura dealer so he can get the A-Spec @ price plus 10%. And of course, the Eibach system keeps getting bumped back so who knows what I'll end up with. I like the Eibach more just because it's lower.

After dropping it, I'm getting new 18's so the Nakayama's will be gone. They're just temporary and they're not a very good fit anyway, even with hub-rings.

Sorry but it wasn't Sonny's Tint like I mentioned earlier. Not sure why "Sonny" was in my head. It's actually Sunrise Tint.

"Sonny" Sunrise, same difference, all sun-related.

Chicks love that ish. You gotta install a mini subwoofer beneath the passenger's seats and crank it up when women are in the car... NWS!

Congrats on the NBP. I also came from a 2002 Protege5. A big step up in refinement wouldn't you say? =)

That's my 17 year old, lil' bro's car. Not bad for a first car eh? Everyone in my family in California owns a Honda. Let's see, if we all got together for Christmas, we'd have my '05 TSX, an '05 S2000, '04 RL, '04 TL, '01 Accord Coupe SE, '99 Accord EX-V6 Coupe, '99 TL, '99 Odyssey, '98 Prelude, '95 Prelude, '95 Accord, and '93 Legend. We should get a Loyalty Discount!!!

I technically had a 2002.5 Protege5, the Mid-Cycle refresh.
But to answer your question yes! It was my first non-Honda, and will probably be my last. I did love how it drove though. I kinda miss that small-car feel.

And by the way, I got my AEM SRI installed today. My mechanic bro-in-law did it for free. Man is it loud full throttle! I love it! Not as much of a power boost, but that was expected.
