My first accident with my 04 TSX (Picture included)
Well, today i just got into my first accident. It happened on a freeway over pass. The car ahead of me slowed down and becuase i didn't anticipate that he was going to be one of those abrupt stop. So i hit my break the old way, not slam it like you're taugh to do so with abs equip car, and swerve left.
Thank god for those Racing Brake SS brake lines, pedal pressure was good so it saved me from hitting the car ahead of me. I always look at my rear view mirror every time i have to do a sudden stop or try to slow down quickly.
Long and behond, the lady behind me wasn't even looking at the road and was chatting it up with her passenger. I even saw the face that says "oh shit, i'm gonna hit the car ahead of me" look. So I held the brake firmly and embrace for a hit. The hit jolted me and pushed my car into the person ahead of me.
Here's the damage.
Car behind me who hit me:
My Car back damage:
From what it looks, the back bumper needs to be replaced, new red light reflecter on the right, and possibly muffler tip. Thats pretty much it.
My Car front damage:
From what it looks, front right headlight needs replace (bottom part of the casing broke into pieces), front bumper, and possible front right fender (it's not lined up correctly with hood). Hood is ok as left side of hood lines up with left side of fender perfectly fine.
The Car infront of me:

all fault is on the lady behind you.
I was in this type of accident twice.
both at stop lights though.
got hit from behind hard and kinda hit the person in front of me.
both times it was open and shut, 100% fault of the person behind you.
okay, now time to deal with insurance.
do your best to DEMAND OEM parts, not aftermarket ones.
if you're nice to insurance companies, they screw you, that's their job.
so try to hold your ground and demand genuine Honda parts as replacements.
and pick your own body shop, don't let the insurance company send
you to one of "their" body shops.
good luck with the repair, glad everyone is okay.

yea im going to my own body shop and told the owner i want all honda factory parts. Body shop was changed their business name from Mach Auto to T&T Auto. Use to mod cars like crazy. Came in there and owner asked if i want a ken style front bumper. too bad its fiberglass. so i declined.
