I'm curious about the performance gains as well since as far as I know, I'll be the first S/Ced 06. One cool thing for all you future S/C owners, I believe that Comptech is now including the auto belt tensioner with all of their S/C kits (my kit was the first one with it included).
I'm not sure if I'll do a before/after dyno since I think it's too late for a base dyno (I have a I/H/C/E combo installed already).

I sure hope not haha, that would be sad on so many levels.
So get that thing installed and post some vids on youtube!

Thanks for all the kudos!
I'm hoping that I'll be able to hit a sub-6 second 0-60 run. You'll be the first non-grease monkey (i.e. Josh) to take a ride in it, no doubt.
Yeah, I most certainly will take some vids. However, I'm currently debating whether I should change intakes and go with an AEM SRI (no CAIs/low-end tq loss for me) in order to make the S/C whine louder .
As far as addtional power between auto vs manual, I believe the following dynos were recorded (both had just intake/header combo in addition to the S/C):
04 Auto - 225whp/175wtq
04 Manual - 244whp/189wtq
With an 06 Manual + I/H/C/E, I'm hoping to hit close to 260whp/200wtq ....

Hey congrats man
I think you should be able to definitely hit over 250 whp / 200 tq. You'll probably hit well over those numbers since you don't have any exhaust restriction. I still haven't seen a dyno with SC and the entire exhaust system upgraded. Get that thing installed ASAP! So they included the Auto tensioner setup?! You lucked out man, that retails for $550!
As for intakes, what do you have now? The AEM SRI or a CAI is actually louder than the Icebox. The louder the intake, the less you'll be able to hear the whine. I would just stick with your intake setup for now. It will help you appreciate the gains and then you can switch down the road if you feel like it.

My current setup is:
CT Icebox
CT Header
RT Cat
CT Exhaust
Actually, the reason why I was considering changing my intake was based in part on your YouTube videos (the other reason being I want a blue AEM SRI to match my engine bay ). I compared your acceleration run with an Injen intake to steve467's run with the CT Icebox, and I could distinctly hear the S/C whine better in your video.
IIRC, you've since switched out the Injen for the CT Icebox. If so, I'm assuming that you're saying that you can hear the whine of the S/C better now with the Icebox?

any whine is better than no whine though

As far as installation, Excelerate is still waiting to receive the ACM piggyback module from Comptech, so hopefully it'll be going in next week .

I think I'll be the first TSX still within warranty to add a S/C, so we'll see how that goes. However, I have complete confidence that Comptech produced a quality product (as evident by all my other Comptech parts ) so I'm not THAT concerned.

TSX536, is there a specified break in period for the Supercharger once it is installed.

Unless you live next to Hondata, how are you getting it installed on the same day? You know you have to send in your ECU to Hondata for a reflash which takes at least 3 days.
As an update, I just dropped my car and kit off at Josh's (Excelerate) shop. I'm hoping to get it back by Friday or Saturday . More updates to follow...

Have you heard anything about break-in for a supercharger? I tried Googling a break-in procedure, but didn't come up with much. I think I'm going to run it rather softly for the first 5-600 miles (similiar to a new engine break-in), then go nuts .

"As far as a break in period, I do not believe there really is one. For the SC it's not like a new engine where pistons rings need to seat correctly, etc."
So I am not sure. I may drive it hard a couple of times on the way home then just drive it normal just to get the feel.
I should have a dyno tomorrow too.
Can anyone help us on this?
Ben
