Not the greatest pics, I just took them as soon as I got home from the tint shop.

They're 37%. And they're called "Quantum" tints. Apparently they JUST came out recently, and are supposed to resemble "black ice."

As always, pics dont do anything justice lol, they look MUCH hotter in person.

I like those a lot! I've never seen tints that are that reflective.

 

Are those illegal? cause i couldnt see the pics, but i saw the preview pic from the image station website, and MAN! thas some tyte tints..

The tints are kinda light so you can still see through them, but at different angles they're like TOTALLY a mirror which is cool hehe

Question for you, do you have any trouble with the tint process? I read in this thread (http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...highlight=tint) that people have to remove the rubber seal for the tint because it is too close to the windows. Is yours removed? Do you have any scratches to the rear windows?

And what did you use to wash you car? It's SUPER shiny man!!

 

Lol my car wasn't even washed in that pic. It had just rained the day before.. I guess its j/shining cz the sun was REALLY out yesterday hehe.

As for the tint, i haven't rolled the windows down yet..
I'm thinking of getting that "moleskin" stuff to put on the rubber seal so that the tint doesnt' get messed up. The guy at the shop assured me that the tint is "scratch-proof" but he also said that if the plastic seal does scratch the tint its not covered under the warranty.

man, that NBP looks really good. you serious, you hadn't washed your car at the time of those pics? it looks pretty shiny to me..and the tint really goes well with the NBP. nice.

 

lol yes im sure I dind't wash it. I had washed it like 3 days before, but it rained a lot, and i hadda drive a lot in the rain so it got pretty dirty. When i took the pics they were huge, i had to shrink them down so I could post them here, maybe thas why its hard to see the dirt lol.

I do it mostly because it's easier than trying to save the factory brakes. If anyone has a photo of just the rotors and calipers I'd like to know.

if you don't mind me asking, what you pay for them? You are in NYC right? Where did you get them done?

I need to get my ABP tinted but just waiting to see the final result of the tints getting scratched by the rubber seal and if it effects the GPS.

 

I'm getting my car tinted today and mentioned ths scratching problem to the tinting place. They said that they've done a few TSX's for dealers and although he has heard of the problem, they haven't had anyone come back yet. He assured me that if I get any scratches they'll redo the tint free of charge.

 

yuhoo22: Well since the tints just came out recently, the guy wouldn't give me a good price, plus he knows he's the only one in the local area who has 'em.. I payed $250. I live in Suffolk County, Long Island. Around Exit 64 on the L.I.E. Got 'em done at this place called Savage Autosports.
