Introducing "Eurio" (pics)

Recently had the car lowered with tein superstreet coils and also added, cusco front strut + lower arm brace + whiteline rear sway bar... handles like a charm now the view from the mountain is Brisbane city, it's pretty nice at night up there. Also i'm thinkin of taking the tein badge off... let us know what you think, cheers.

take off the badge and those rims make the car look cheap in my opinion. Nice drop though it looks sleek and sexy.

thanks for the comments guys, the badge is now off

I've always had second thoughts about the rims, but they've definitely grown on me - anything beats the stock 16's! you should see how cheap the car looks with those haha.

If I ever end up changing them i'll be going to a forged 17" rim tho- something like the volk TE37.

hey Namz, our OEM kit is actually the same as yours. so i'm not that unique over here, but not heaps of people have it so thats a plus.

and nah i didnt change window trim, I i think its only the Euro-R that has the black trim as standard?

NO..i think the Euro has the chrome window trim like us...... only us USDM people have the amber corner... otherwise, they rest of the world has clear ones!!

nice CG.... i am starting to like the color more and more, don't regret notgetting PWP now... and i think some TE37s or LE37ts would look awesome with your ride!!

Accord in Europe, TSX in North America, Accord Euro in Australia are all CL9s - so all with chrome trim but only the TSX has the amber corner indicators and i think the TSX bumpers are slightly different too??

Euro R in Japan (also available as imports elsewhere) is the only Accord model in the CL series with black window trim. A minor difference is that the rear reverse indicators are not clear/white but smoked/tinted.

Rays Volks are a good choice - but the progressives are going cost more and weigh more too - currently the smallest size is 18" - tyre cost is also go up.

For myself, rim change was mainly to save some weight as well as to customise the look - swapped stock 17" rims for CE28 in silver - bronze is too common here.

thanks for the info ml2spin, i haven't been able to find much out about the progressives - i defintiely won't be getting them if there's a weight penalty...

do you have any pics of the ce28 rims on your car? they're another one of my favourites.. and weigh less than 15 pounds don't they? my reasons for changing rims was/is exactly the same. my current wheels arent forged but they aren't super heavy at 18 pounds.

Yeah I just swapped my wheels for some light 16 pounders. Man what a difference that made.

Actually i did post some pix of the rims on the car earlier this year in this folder - but those were before i lowered the car on tein superstreets - great for street/highway but too soft for track - confirmed that on a recent trip to Sepang F1 Grand prix ccircuit in Malaysia.

Anyway will post new ones this week...using CE28 17 x 7.5 offset 43 - weight is just under 7kg = 15 pounds if i remember correctly.

officially we don't get the Euro R too - the Honda dealer in Singapore brings in the CM series as the Accord which exactly the same as the US/Canada Accord.

The CL series (same chassis as TSX) is sold here as parallel imports from Japan - basically they are first registered in Japan for a few days before they exported here and they are considered brand new.

The main difference is the engine = Euro R is only 2L (K20A) compared to TSX 2.4L (K24A), so we lose out on lower torque. But we get more mid/high-end power (it is part of the Type R family after all) - rev limit is at 8600rpm, VTEC kicks in at 5800. We also get Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel and a type r metal gear knob as standard.

More details here but in Japanese since it wasn't never meant to be sold outside Japan:

ILoveMyHonda, i remember seeing your new wheels, they are hot what kit are you going for, OEM, Euro-R or something completely different?

Ml2spin, can't wait to see your new pics when you post them up. Yea i think i remember reading that the ce28's were jus tunder 15pounds each for 17"x7.5. Is that the lightest wheels rays makes?

Thanks man, I wonder why your "17's look bigger than mine what tire size are you running and how low are you? I'm curious.

I am thinkin of gettin either the OEM or EURO-R kit, dunno yet, but I'm leanin toward EURO-R cuz of my badge swap from Acura, so we'll see

tire size , i'm running 225/45/R17, the stock tsx wheels are something like 215/50/R17 aren't they? Maybe because my tyres are lower profile they make the wheels look a bit bigger? It may also be to do with the colour and design of the rims, and most probably the lowering.

About the drop... i don't have exact measurements for how low the car has come down. But when i first took it in it was dropped about 35mm and was a touch higher than an eibach pro-kit (by half a finger or so). I then took it back to the shop and had it dropped another 13mm.... so my guess its about a 48mm drop allround - or just under 1.9". I used Jtso's car (when he had the eibach sportlines) as a guide, because i believe he was running tyres at the exact same specifications as mine at the time so i kinda new how much wheel gap i was in for.

hey stephen man... injen intkae is on hold, i just recently broke my cusco type II lower arm brace, my mates driveway had a 5mm thick plate of cemented in steel sticking up out of his driveway (concealed by grass) and it completely bent and partially ripped through the bar, i'm taking the car in on monday to have it removed and the car checked for any other damage to the chasis

how's the mugen spoiler attached? i think the car will look a lot sleaker without it if its easy to take it off. I think it makes the car look a bit lower aswell when theres nothing there to draw the eye to a higher part of the car - my
