Installed my Wilwood BBK

Just a couple photos of my brake kit I installed this past weekend. I'm not much of a photographer.

Kits uses the following:

Wilwood bp-10 pads
Wilwood Dynapro Dust Boot Calipers
Wilwood steel brake lines
Wilwood 2 peice 12.2" rotors

Kit when it arrived:

I was running oem calipers painted black with Acura decals:

The new pads, 3 additional pistons per side, and stainless steel lines give much better pedal feel. They feel and stop great. I'd highly recommend this kit to anyone looking for a kit that easily clears wheels and has dust boots.

Is this the BBK that's about $800? How much larger are the rotors than the OEM? Same for the caliper; do you have side by side pictures?

No this isn't the same as the 800 dollar kit. This kit was around 1K and it comes with different calipers and 2pc rotors where as the 800 kit comes with 1pc rotors and calipers without dust boots. The rotors measure 12.2" on my kit and the pad sweeps the entire rotor surface. The pads in my kit are smaller than factory pads but the kit as a whole works better than the factory setup.

It's this kit: http://www.fastbrakes.com/product_p/...x%2012.2dp.htm

Ah... Gotcha. Thanks for the help.

Looks good. My choice would have been black calipers but that's just my taste.

Yeah I had black calipers with white decals before so I wanted a change. Red isn't really even all that flashy anymore, lots of cars come with oem red calipers now. Even the GTI's have red factory calipers.

Another interesting thing is this kit allows so much clearance I was able to run 16" steel wheels over it! They JUST fit but no rubbing issues. I think it's a rally spec kit, that would explain the extra clearance and the dust boots.

UPDATE: Noticing some vibration under braking, I'm hoping I don't have warped rotors.

I did a by the book brake in with these so I'm hoping it's something else!

Super old thread but I was doing a search and figured id answer this question, nope they didn't warp, I rebedded the pads and the rotors were fine. This was a great kit for the duration that i ran it. Ended up trading for a 12' TL quite a few month's ago.
