Cool Got My New Wheels

Ok, Some of you might like these and some of you may not, but I know I do haha

Bronze ROTA Circuit 10's 17x7.5 45offset 16lbs. (according to my bathroom scale lol)

I went with these cuz of weight, I didn't want "18's (not hatin' on 'em), and I got a great deal of $545 shipped. I was gonna go for "17x8 48et ROTA Torques but they were $700 shipped

The car feels a wee bit more nimble, or it could be in my head

Might get 225/45's or 235's in the future, not sure yet, but for now I'm on the stockers

Oh well, enjoy!

Lightweight Are there any discernable differences in braking, acceleration, handling, overall responsiveness, etc?

Well, I dunno, it's seems that the car is a bit more reponsive on turn entries, and accelaration, and the steering does respond with a lil more ease. But I just installed them at work a few hours ago, so from there to here, seemed different.

When you have more seat time, I'd like to hear if you feel a difference in the car's performance. I put some lightweight rims on my integra and I did feel the car rev flat-out quicker, almost like a lightened flywheel feeling. However, the difference in braking was AWESOME and I wonder if this would be the case for the TSX as well.

Post your experience when you get a chance- congrats again!!

It did seem tho as the car wanted to jump from the start a lil more, and at one rred light I got a lil' squeal, now that you mention it. I'll be sure to post when i get more seat time! Thanks again

And nope, I do not have a camber kit, well at least not till i drop it a bit more heh heh

If you don't mind telling me how is the camber wear on the rear tires and how many miles have you had the springs on?
Nice wheels by the way, I always like the racing look of these wheels.

Where did you get them from. I've been eyeing Rotas for my TL-S. By the way, they look sweet and lightweight is always a good thing!

Powered by Honda: Thanks, yeah I saw his post the day before I was gonna mount mine, I was like Aww man he beat me haha.

manda: Stalker!

SilvCL7: Thanks again!

chingbra: I will say in all honest opinion the H. techs ride over bumps, and in straight line driving pretty close to stock. But in the turns and quick lang changes, very stable and imporved handling. Which is now further realized with these wheels! I would recommend these if you are looking for better handling and less body roll, with a subtle drop.

Maxboost: There is 0% camber wear on the rear. They wear completly even. The front did have very minor inner wear, but when I installed my springs at work I didnt do an alignment......yet. Tryin to kill the stock tires haha!

Well I put the springs on at around 5k so prolly about 15k I've been using the springs. My odo is about 20k now.

BERTSX: Thanks, yeah I saw your ADR's they look good i Like em , you beat me by one day haha

Type-S RPh: www.jlbmotorsports.com best prices I've seen. Ask for Hikaru he had great cusotmer service, or you can IM him on AOL at JLBsupport

He gave me a great deal on the set I bought, because he told me they were supposed to look identical to the Mugens. But they didn't completly so he refunded me some money

Chris_F: Thanks

Namz: Thanks

CarbonGray Earl:

So I got more seat time in, and man what a difference! The car stops so much easier, the car accelarates a whole lot quicker, I feel like I'm talkin about a HONDATA reflash there. But yeah the car responds quicker in the steering its such a surprise to get such a difference out of some wheels. I can't wait to swap these tires out!

Oh, and for the skeptics who might think I'm just over exagerrating because of my excitement over new wheels. My wife and I went for a drive, while goin out for some groceries, she mashes the gas to over take a car form a light, then without any word or hint she asks me......"Why does the car feel faster, did you do something else?" Then we drive some more ", why is it easy to steer and brake now?" That answered evin my own doubts haha

Nice...... never knew some wheels make that much difference!!!

but i think it's because they are light 17s..... if you get light 18s, it won't make that much of a difference... since 18's tends to accerlate slower!

Yeah thats what I was thinkin when I was deciding on wheels size. 18's would look sweet, but I decided to stay stock size, a lil easier on the wallet. Plus light weight, I can't argue with that.

Trust me -- I'm not one of the doubters! You're talking almost 10 lbs of rotating mass reduction -- of course you're gonna feel the difference. I went down over 10 lbs in my Integra and it turned out to be one of the best 'mods' I made.

Now you got me thinking again of 17's (weight) vs. 18's (looks)...

Nice, ILoveMyHonda! Saw that you reviewed wheel upgrade awhile back, just didn't get to acknowledge. Good to hear that there is an overall improvement in performance, at least from seat-of-the-pants. Braking, handling, and acceleration.

Decisions, decisions....I think I remember watching an old "Sports Car Revolution" in which they took an RSX and did a +1 wheel upgrade, dynoing before and after. They actually lost hp (3 hp im guessing?) but the tradeoff was that the 18s were a bit sharper handling, braking, etc around the track.

18's might be a good compromise, but having an 5AT, it would be nice to get all the power I can get.
