Seriously dude- the car is sweet, but how/what kind of camera did you use for those pics? They are clearly slow shutter/no flash, but how are they so damn sharp????

the long shutter time is why it's so bright...

2.5 secs for all the pics except for the last one...

i have an XTi also, and i'm def in the learning stages as well... love your shots man... my next purchase is definitely a tripod...

did you just use the basic 18-55 lens?? i noticed most of your pics were taken between those two numbers so that's my guess lol

tripod is a must for night shots i only know you get info of pics on shutter speed, explosure, ISO and stuff.how do you know the range btw? yeah im using the basic lens at the moment. only bought one extra lens which is 50mm. saving up for 10-22mm as recommended from some people hehe.

the EXIF data has everything about how a picture was shot... it was mostly a guess tho...

for example your first shot i get
Camera Make: Canon
Camera Model: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Image Date: 2007:05:05 14:53:39
Flash Used: No
Focal Length: 18.0mm
CCD Width: 5.16mm
Exposure Time: 2.000 s
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO equiv: 100
White Balance: Auto
Metering Mode: Matrix
Exposure: Manual
Exposure Mode: Manual
it's from that great mozilla plug-in they discussed in the photography section in ramblings...

I can't wait to get a nice tripod and then start saving for a nicer lens... i'm most likely heading to australia for school in the fall and I know i'm going to want to be taking tons of pictures while i'm there - so much beauty...
