goodbye 19 te37 gold, hello 18 te37 mercury silver
step 1 of phasing out the car.
stepped down from my beloved 19 inch te37 gold to 18 inch te37 mercury silver with kumho ecsta mx.
pics.
was planning on getting 17 x 8 volks, but no one has them. maybe i'll keep these. the 19 inch wheels and my drop made it almost impossible to align apparently, i went through almost 4 set of tires since may 04.
i got the latest set of tires on them in jan 06 - and got it aligned the same day - but i took them off last week and found out the two front tires were completely worn out in the inner side of the tire. i dont have the money or patience to keep buying new tires every 6 months so hopefully the 18's will do better, and in any case, tires are cheaper.
enough talk, here are the pics.

How do the MXs perform? I was about to go with a set of those but went with toyos for the meantime.

my favourite rims on your car so far, the silver looks good on white too. Seriously good shit.
gonna hit the strip and see what difference smaller/lighter rims make?
ps. i wanna see 17" volks on your car

17 lbs for 18s - that's pretty good. Good looking, the gold is starting to get played out a bit for me- not on just your car, but in general.

I actually like the 18's in MS better, very hot on PWP
Maybe your tires would last longer if you didn't go ultra high performance, no tread life type
