Comptech Exhaust Installed (vid inside)

i installed the exhaust on friday. it was a simple bolt on. took a total of 1 hr to take the stock off and put the new one on. Fit and finish is top notch.

here is a quick pic i took in the garage and a video clip. since the video was taken in the garage, you can hear the tone of the exhaust more. i also have the injen cai installed as well.

i will try to get better pics and a video of me driving off later on this week.

Video ~2.5mb (right click - save as please)

Damn that sounds awesome. After hearing that and seeing pics of gsclifton's exhaust I want one so bad. I'll have to call around tomorrow and see how much they charge for it in the Toronto area.

i ordered mine from www.nopi.com for $765 and $45 shipping. I installed it myself, so no installation costs.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

there is some droning in the cabin when accelerating but it isnt that bad imo. i have the rear deck 6x9s out so its a bit louder cause all the sound from the trunk is coming inside. im gonna put the 6x9s back to see if they make a difference.

there is a very slight drone when cruising at 70mph. if u hit the gas u can def hear it. its a nice low deep tone, and doesnt sound like an annoying weed wacker.

Well I couldn't resist and got a Comptech catback installed this morning at Acura Woodbine. It sounds great. I find that it's loudest under acceleration at 2500rpm or so. Highway cruising is fine. You can hear the rumble a bit but it's not intrusive. Driving home on the 401 was fine for me.

Here's some pics of it (sorry if they're too big).

Sturm, you've got to come out to our next meet. I want to check out that exhaust in person.

Dan,

Yep for sure. I'm planning on being at the April 3rd meet at Acura Woodbine (if that's the one you're talking about) so you're free to check it out if you're coming to that one.

Comptech system sound pretty good, but the slight droning is something that can be improved.. or maybe its different when in person.

A Dynamat Trunk Kit will cure most of that . . . .

I have a thread over in the performance forum. I have installed 2 panels of Dynamat and the interior noise is almost back to stock. At WOT it is very close to stock. There is still a slight rumble up to about 2.5k but I intend to cure that by intsalling the product left in the Dynamat Trunk Kit. I still have 4 panels to install.
