One last question, what about the camber kits? Some said if you have A-Spec you don't need one, since Acura did not recommend on the package, but some suggested that get one no matter what. Did you have one put in?

Thanks!
I needed it for my passenger side rear cause the camber was way out of wack. I already had the Ingalls Camber kit which i highly recommend. Its about $140 and every alignment guy will love you for it because its so easy to adjust. I would purchase it! I put it on myself, its not difficult at all!

Where are you located, i could help you if your close?

I didn’t need any camber kit. I have already aligned my car twice ( 1 for suspension & 1 for 18’ wheels) and all #s are within rage. However every car is different, once you do your alignment you will find out whether u need a camber kit or not.

Like Cali said above, it does lower it but from what we've seen on here, it doesn't lower as much as 06-08 does.

That awesome you didn't need a camber kit cali! I wish i didn't but my right camber was like -2.5 which was way too much....

The 04 A-spec lowers the car about 3/4" (maybe a full 1" by the time everything settles in).

I appreciated for the offer, but I am in Ohio, so not that close.

Speaking of alignment, if I have the shop to install the A-Spec Suspension for me, should I do alignment at the same time or should I wait and drive for few days to settle in and take it back for the alignment?

Thanks!

You need to allow sometime for the suspension to settle. I waited 1 week before alignment. The only thing I did right away is adjusting my mirrors.

aspec is good for the price range and close to stock feel

if you want more adjustable go teins basic coilover.

I didnt need cambers but i put my campers out of spec so i had to get them.
drove over a few covered curbs during a snow storm.

A nice drop...but its kind of trick photography if you think of it...the first pic doesnt have the aspec bodykit, the second has the drop with the kit and makes it looked even more slammed...still has a nice stance though..

The color combination and spoke design make those looks absolutely huge. They easily look like 20's, but I bet they're 18's? 19's at most. Good looks, man.

My A-Spec drop done at the dealer is not low at all, it was only about 1/4 inch, do you have any idea why? That's why I am going to get Tein S-tech springs. Do I have another choice? The dealer said that 1/4 inch is all they lower.

Only 1/4 inch!! Something wrong here... Do you have the 06 thru 08 suspension?
The Aspec lowered my 06 TSX a bit more than an inch and it was seriously noticeable.

I have the stock 08 suspension (spring and shocks) in a box in my garage now. They changed the shocks and springs for my car to A-Spec and they said it only lowers it by 1/4"

What should I do now? Is there something wrong when they put it in? Isn't the lowering amount fixed?

How long have you had it installed.

It takes time to settle.

Aww, c'mon man! how are you gonna go from BBS RGR's to those! I'll admit the RGR's looked a little small but still.

I guess I might be a little biased, but i do think you could have gone with a classier wheel. I love everything else you have done so far though.

Maybe your car is lowered more then 1/4"
With my stock suspension the distance from the fender to the hub center was15 1/4"
With my Aspec suspension the distance from the fender to the hub center was 14 1/4"
So what you should do now is measure the distance from the fender to the hub center and see how close you are to 14 1/4"

Cali4tsx, thank you for giving me the dimensions of yours.

Currently my front is 15" from fender to the hub center in the front, and is 14 3/4" at the rear. I guess it's a little lower than stock but I want it to be lowered more.

I have ordered a set of TEIN S-Tech but I still have time to consider until I pick it up. Should I get S-tech or H-tech if I live in Toronto, Canada?

I couldn't find a pic on acurazine that's with either of the suspension on a 06-08 with stock rims. If anyone can help me out it will be much appreciated.

260 HP, cali4tsx!!!

I don't know what to say to thank the two of you for the pictures of the stock VS A-spec suspensions you have posted!! HAHA too bad I am not a girl. =)

I purchased my car a month ago brand new with the option a-spec suspension, and remember I said in another post that my dealer said it would only lower the car by 1/4 inch? I never thought my car was lowered.

I took your pictures, along with some other research, I went to the dealer today and showed them everything. They had actually installed a stock suspension to my "STOCK" suspension.

Anywaz, now it's solved, just waiting for my new a-spec suspension on my car.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait, so they sold you a car with a-spec only to find out that the a-spec suspension wasn't installed? I'd be pissed. Who does the quality control and the pre pick-up check over there?

1. Not many do. To get one you need to contribute to a Acurazine sponsored charity fundraiser. They come up every so often. Members are still waiting for stickers from the last one (there was a snafu).

2. from our FAQ section: How to post pictures
