Beware of snowdrifts...
... their snowbank parents will drag you in by the wheels and eat you up.
Fortunately, everybody was fine (including the car) and Acura Roadside Assistance covered the cost for the towtruck to pull us out. The rear tow hook performed beautifully. Pics were taken on a cellphone, hence the poor quality.
You can see the snowdrift on the road in the third picture. In the first picture you can see how unevenly the road was plowed by the location of the yellow line in comparison to the shoulder snowbanks. I didn't realize this particular snowdrift had any sort of thickness to it as there was an oncoming car at the time throwing up a huge cloud of snow. What can I say... I'm an idiot. Should've been driving more carefully.

Yipe, glad you made it out unharmed. Looks like you tried to dig out - didn't get very far, did you?
Colorado doesn't typically get nearly that kind of snow, but last year we got 16" in one day and I got my TSX stuck in the middle of the (un-plowed) road. I dug and dug and dug... finally a neighbor with a tow cable and Subaru WRX saw my plight and pulled me out.
