It was the first thing I did. They look great. I also had the fog light bezels painted. Pics are below. No problems with the paint in two months.

I took it to a nearby Honda dealer. They painted all six pieces for $120.

No, it was a Honda dealer. Any body shop can do it with the paint code that is inside the driver door. I just know the body shop at this Honda dealer does good work and they were closer than the Acura dealer. A local body shop wanted $200. The shop is top notch, but not that good.

How do you think the color will hold up? It's a different material than the rest of the body, right?

The color should hold up as well as the other plastic parts of the car like bumpers. My concern when having it done was peeling and flaking. The shop looked at the parts and said they would be fine. The parts weren't too rough. Evidently, a rough surface will prevent proper sanding but these parts were only semi-textured, not very rough. If the parts are prepared correctly, there shouldn't be a problem.

How much ground clearance do you have underneath those? Worried about lowering with splash guards.

My car is stock and the splash guards have 5" clearance in front and 8" clearance in the rear. Lowering the car could be an issue.

Thanks. I gotta say though that it looks pretty good... breaks up the underbody line in a good way... reminds me of the new A4 for some reason.

Six pieces? I though there r only 4 pieces? BTW, isn't TSX comes with 2 pieces only? Did u buy the rear 2 piece or u have to buy all 4 of them?

Rear mud guards are an accessory.

oic. But can we buy 2 piece only for the rear? The front comes with stock, isn't it? But when u look at OEM Acura accessories, they always sell in 4 pieces?

Those mudguards do nasty things to the paint on your car. I've removed mine for this reason. Arent you guys concerned about this as well? Have you seen the pictures of the damage the splash guards cause?

Good business practice: sell people something they already have I guess they want them to match.

Acura sells the two-peice for the rear that matches the fronts. I'd only get them if I was goint to get all 4 painted. They stand out too much in black....

Is the front and rear mud guards the same? If so, a set of 4 can be for 2 TSXs?

No, it's not that simple - unless one TSX had only fronts and the other only rears. Each wheel is specific and can't be used on a different wheel.

I think the painted mud guards add a touch of class and uniform to the car. I've had my mud guards painted on one of my previous car (1995 Acura Legend GS Coupe), and because the rubber on the mud guards are flexible...the paint didn't stick well and eventually began to flake off.

I know they use some type of flex paint or additive in the paint that they use on the bumpers to allow for adhesion, but mud guards are in a totally different category. If you decide to do it...just be careful...but all in all painted mud guards look nice.

just my .02 cents worth

i just got my guards back today..
the rear looks a bit fatter then before...

it's very close to my pearl white body color, but since it's not factory paint it's a bit whiter then the rest of the car...
but i guess you can't have 100% match since it's not OEM @_@;;;

i will post some pics after i wash my car..
hopefully that will help ahhaha

Dude...I can't believe your gonna put those on that sweet lookin TSX of yours. I don't like em black, let alone painted. I like the look better without the splash guards. To each his own I guess. IMHO, the TSX looks SWEET without the add ons, spoiler, bodykit, splash guards. Of course I'm old and like the conservative look.

Looks good chocodai. FWIW, you can't see any colour mis-match in the photos. Looks like a clean match.

does anyone know where I can get my mud guards and rear lip painted PWP in NJ? I went to one place and they wanted $250 for the splash guards alone. I think that is kinda high.

I was going to get mine matched before removing them for the OEM Kit install. I did however, finally get around to getting my fog light bezels color matched. I am installing them this weekend weather permitting.

The splash guards look nice

The match is great, I don't think the kit is needed on the car if the splash guards are painted, maybe just add the front lip or even a kenstyle bumber
