Amadeus303's Whip

Well... been on the forum awhile, and never posted a single pic of my car. Here's one I took this past weekend after washing her and putting my summer wheels on --- and no, I'm not missing my centercaps. I just didn't put them on before snapping Anywho, sorry for the bad pic... my cam isn't the greatest, and I don't have that "eye" that some of you other blokes do.

your cars looking good. I've never seen you around at all and your right in my back yard to say, I live in Cliffside Park. Bring that baby to the next meet. By the way anyone know when the next meet is? If there isn't any plans in the work yet, lets get something going.

Thanks for all the kind words guys... and Chris, you have the keen eye man It's funny, I was actually tossing around both wheels you mentioned, until finally deciding on the Flik Wasp because of its polished lip versus the AR1's, which had the machined lip. I wanted something to match the NBP AND the chrome trim of the windows. In any case, I also considered some of the forged choices in the glossy black/polished lip category such as Volk SF Winnings, Maya STMs, etc., but for my purposes, I just couldn't justify the cost since all I really wanted was a wheel that looked good and weighed a little less or the same as stock. I have an acquaintance who put these on his Mini 2 years ago, and he hasn't had any problems with the rims bending, etc., and he lives in an area where smooth roads just don't exist. That was enough to satisfy me about their durability. For anyone that wants specifics, here they are... 18x7.5" +42mm 22lbs. glossy black w/ polished lip. The rubber is Falken Ziex 512's in 225-40-18. I'm a Toyo Proxes 4 fan, but based on all the positive forum talk on the 512's, I gave them a go. They were also lighter, cheaper, and had a smaller shoulder than the Toyo's. As for the center caps, I custom fabricated a set and paint matched them to the wheels. I also picked up an Acura chrome emblem kit from H and A... drilled 2 small holes into the caps, and mounted them on. The result is very OEM-looking. I'll snap pics when I get the chance if anyone's interested. I guess I'm just very anal about keeping it "clean"...

Mike please post pics of the custom center caps and different angles of your car. I would love to see how they sit with that offset! Look'n good. Did you order from Edge Racing?

Will do, Chris... I'm going to give her another wash this coming weekend and snap some pics --- darn pollen is all over the place! It's like there's a greenish "haze" over her right now And yep... ordered from Edge Racing. You were right, Chris... they were definitely pleasant to deal with. San... PM me if you want any other specific details.

Xiz... I may be wrong, but I've always understood a machined lip as having more of a satin finish rather than a "chrome-looking" finish.

Been meaning to get them up, but work's been busy... and the last few weekends here in NJ have been dodgy at best. The next 2 weekends I'll be away, but I'll snap pics ASAP.
