This is the I-way 500c from Lowrance. It works great through the I-pod interface, holds over 5000 songs (aprox) and can be upgraded free online!!! Punch in an addy, and it will take you right to the doorstep with voice prompts. Also my first attempt at posting pics in a long time. Forgive me if it turns out bad.

I'll try to post more pics later. Dont know what happened. Here is a link to the Lowrance I-Way 500C.

http://www.lowrance.com/Automotive/P...s/iWAY500C.asp

It IS a stand alone, comes with all brackets out of the box ready to go. Even comes with a handle bar brackets for motorcycles so its water resistant. But if you mount it like I did, the sats cant "see" it. I had to buy an antanna, and mount that to the bottom of the passenger side windshield. Oh, it also has a cool 3D thing, kind of like looking at your car from 25' up and behind.

I bought mine through Crutchfield, and its a good thing I did. The first one devoleped a glitch and stopped working. All I could do was scroll the map, and nothing else. Crutchfield sent me another one even BEFORE I sent the other one back. Most other places were cheaper, but said that once it was "plugged in" they would not take it back. I would have had to go through Lowrance, and wait forever! I can still take it out of tha Acura, and put it in in the Dakota, or anything else for that matter. But I would have to use the suction cup bracket, and 12v plug with speker built in. Or in the case of the bike, the handle bar bracket. But who wants to know where they are when ridding?

If anyone know what the heck I did wrong posting the pics let me know, and I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks guys.
