2006 jdm headlights!

THE MOST BALLER SHIT EVAHHH....

OK sorry, but these are very, very sweet. I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking.

New xenon-look H1 high beams, 24-LED (!!) amber turn signals, and PIAA Super White LEDs for the side markers complete the look. JDM? no. Sweet? yes.

Did you a standard case of hyper fast blinkers when you installed the LED bulbs in the front signals? How's the brightness/visibility?

Yeah it's pretty easy, just take off the screw and bolt that hold on the front of the wheel well, bend it back, and reach in there. You can get to the side marker light from there.

Thanks everybody. To prevent the fast-blinkers and light-out warning, I installed a 6ohm resistor across both turn signals, works like a charm. Big ups to rex for tips on the leds and TSX.Fury and jpt for helping me fix up my car this weekend. I'll look forward to showing this off at the DC cruise next weekend.

According to the measurements in the parts catalogue, they are not exactly the same. I don't believe they are interchangeable.

As Reach said the dimensions of the 04/05 are different from 06+, as well as the angles....Sure the smaller one will fit in the larger opening but will look

Measurements from my very bugged up, dirty 2006 front headlight below.

Front View

Side View

dimensions are plus/minus 2mm given that the light is curved.
dimensions taken with flexible steel ruler and digital calipers

for you imperially inclined peeps:
130mm = 5.1 in
150mm = 5.9 in
230mm = 9.0 in
80mm = 3.1 in
365mm =14.4 in

May I ask

1) Where did you mount the Load resistor to in the front, I heard it gets very hot.
2) Where did you purchase the 24 LED amber bulb + 6ohm load resistor?

Thanks

BoomPlusToys everybody, and the prices are right there on the website. Warning, it ain't cheap. The only reason I could justify doing this for myself was because I already had a busted headlight and insurance paid me to buy a new one... so i ordered jdm and drove around busted for a few weeks.

Also, all bulbs and resistors were acuired off eBay for next to nothing.

But now, I'd do it all again hehe.

I went to radio shack, bought 2 metal heat sinks and double sided tape, mounted the resistors to the heat sinks and the heat sinks to the frame. Any METAL mounting point will do. 24 LED bulbs can be bought on ebay, load resistors as well, but I got mine from superbrightleds
