White LED For my Boost Gauge
Hey guys,
Just put a boost gauge in last weekend. It came with an incondescent bulb so the lighting is more yellowish than white to match our gauges. I'm looking for a white LED bulb to replace the one I currently have. Do you guys have any suggestions on where I should get it?
The specs on the incandescent bulb are:
161 wedge based bulb, 12 volt, T 3-1/4, 1 Candle Power
Here's a link to it:
http://www.sw-performance.com/index....tails&p=114896
The first question I have is what does the T 3 1/4 refer to? Is this the size of the base?
Would this bulb work for me?
http://cgi.ebay.com/194-168-161-Oval...QQcmdZViewItem
The size on that bulb says T10 though, so I'm guessing it won't work. I just want confirmation on this. I'm a newbie to LEDs.
Thanks in advance

Hey J! I don't have any pics of it in the car right now. I ended up mounting it to the very left of the gauge cluster. It partially covers the temp gauge but I can still see it if I lean forward. It's not big deal once I get the engine warmed up though, I barely look at it after that.
I'd definitely recommend getting the boost gauge. It actually helps to be able to see when you're in vacuum and when you're in boost. I can lighten up on the throttle just enough when i want accelerate but don't wanna go into boost. I think it's going to help me maximize my gas mileage.

Do you know if that will still fit even though my current bulb is T 3 1/4?

Also thanks for the link. Too bad Stewart Warner doesn't make a wideband. They have everything else I need. Hmm...
