I've been looking at some of the jdm stuff and I think that the chrome door handles might look cool on the TSX. Has anyone does this modification and what do you guys think about it? I haven't been able to find any online stores that sell them. Any suggestions?

I have been trying to find these forever. I found them on a site called japanparts.com but the problem is that you will have a key lock on the passenger side and not on the drivers side. other than this I think the swap should be pretty straight forward. you may even be able to swap them to the right side I am not sure. I would love if someone would try it out.

Hmmm good point. I wonder how the lock mechanism works in the driver's door? Does anyone have a parts diagram?

Maybe you can just flip the handle over. It would still have the same pivot point.

I wonder if the key slot is attached to the handle? if it isn't then I could just flip the handle. If the key slot is attached to the handle I wonder if it matters whether it is upside down. Would the key turn the wrong way, as in turn to the front of the car to unlock it?

One thing I have been wondering is:
why is it you JDM-spec whores only look to Japanese sources ?

Things like this (handles, headlights, pedal trims, rugs...) are the opposite of US-spec, which unfortunately is what you're driving lol.

I mean why not European sources ? maybe also better prices ?

AFAIK European Accords look almost 100% JDM-spec. So the parts are there and with the exception of UK, any other Euro countries where Accord are sold have potential sources.
