V-Tech solutions?

V-Tech solutions?
Hey folks, I have an '08 TSX, Automatic trans. Does anyone have a recommendation (first, can it be done?) on a chip or any kind of adjustment I can make to the V-Tech that will increase the cars take off at a lower RPM?
I noticed it seems to generously kick in around 4-5k RPM but if I'm using the tip tronic and just keep it in the gear I want, when the RPM's hit about 6k the boost significantly increases. I want to adjust it so I get that same increase at 4-5k.
Maybe this is a common question, I don't know, I'm not experienced with honda technology I just switched over from V8's, SUV's and big body cars.
If anyone has an idea or solution, I would appreciate the insight.

Back when I still had my Civic I had an Apex'i VAFC. It allows for changing the vtec engagement point. I installed quite a few in the past but you would need a wire schematic for your car to see where the lines would hook up too. IIRC, the VAFC has a list of cars it works for and the wiring diagrams for each. You can probably check out the Apex'i website to see if it is applicable for your car. But my advice is that the vtec engagement point set from the factor is already set for optimal performance. If you set the engagement point too low all you will do is waste gas. You can learn more from the link below and it might be worthwhile to contact Apex'i if you still choose to change the engagement point.
The AFC NEO has replaced the old VAFC.

i could be wrong but hondata reflash might solve your problem, with a few bolt ons the car should be more responsive...again i could be wrong but check it out anyway.

Someone stole "My Garage"
Hondata Reflash for ~$300 + shipping to/from Torrence, CA. That should give you what you're after... or at least a start. It lowers the VTEC x-over from 6000 to 5000rpm, helps lower-end a tad, and smooths out the overall torque curve of the car. It really should have been this way from the factory, but Hondata is definitely an improvement!

Bad news though....Hondata reflash only applies to years 2004-2006. 07 and 08 haven't been updated.

If anything, I'd do the whole bolt-on list....but it won't get you anything like your v8s. Off the top of my head, the bolt-ons in no particular order are:
Power:
Intake
Header
Cat
Pulleys
Lightweight Wheels and Tires
Of course, make sure to upgrade the handling in the form of some coilovers and most importantly, the Rear Sway Bar. IMO, the handling of this car is its strength.
