Typhoon Intake increase MPG?

I have a chance to get a free Typhoon intake. I can live with the sound as I'm rarely on WOT. Nominal hp increase is fine. The part is free right? But what about mpg? I can't really find anything relating to gas mileage. Any info out there?

In theory, a better designed air induction device should help with better MPG, but with an intake people tend to pick up a disease called, "Anvil Right foot-itis".

You'll lose torque and power down low so you'll most likely compensate with more gas in city driving.

As long as your driving style doesn't change your gas mileage should either stay the same or improve slightly.

I work at an Acura dealership. Someone just traded in an 07 TSX with one on it. Manager doesn't like it. I have an 08 TSX. He said I could have it if he took my stock parts. He'd even pay the shop for labor on both.

I have a K&N Typhoon CAI. MPG is about the same as w/ stock intake...if you don't contract the "Anvil right-foot-itis." I did, and I didn't even notice it until I asked this very same question on Acurazine.
