Type S Sway bar clears Greddy Evo2?

Hi,

Planning to put a Greddy Evo2 on my car and was thinking of putting a TL Type S sway bar on as well but was wondering if anyone knows if the two play nice with each other (don't get in each others way).

Anyone with experience with this?

thanks,

Eric

no clearance issues with your stock RSB?
how thick is the stock TSX bar?

the tl-s RSB is 20mm, i believe.

Yeah, TL-S is 20mm. The shape is different than the stock one though (e.g. you have to bend an exhaust hanger to fit it) and I've heard some sway bars don't play nice with some exhausts (comptech RSB for example).

Here's an install guide with pics of the two bars: http://tsxcore.blogspot.com/2011/03/...bar-on-04.html

When I visit that blog site, I can see it for all of 2 secs. then it goes blank, like its trying to load something.
will have a look at home.

I do have a stock TL 6MT RSB sitting in my garage, as I upgraded to the progress RSB.

I believe the 6MT bar is 20mm as well.

Will a TLS rear sway bar fit on a TSX with a stock exhaust without interference?

Does anyone know the part number of the TLS rear sway bar?

It clears the stock exhaust just fine - just have to bend the exhaust hanger that's used for single exhausts out of the way.

Parts (and prices) are:

  • 1x '08 TLS RSB p/n 52300-SEP-A11 $34
  • 2x '08 TLS RSB Bushings p/n 52306-SEP-A11 $1.14
  • 2x '08 TLS RSB Bushing Holder p/n 52308-S3M-A00 $0.85
  • 4x '08 TLS RSB Bushing Holder Bolt p/n 93402-08016-08 $0.68
  • 2x Self-locking nut (endlink-RSB nut) p/n 90212-SA5-003 $0.38

That is a fairly cheap upgrade. Are the bushing holder bolts necessary or can the TSX bolts be reused?

Can the exhaust hangar be bent with common tools? My TSX has the factory dual exhausts. Will I still need to bent the hangar?

Not sure about the TSX bolts.

The exhaust hanger can be bent easily according to those who have done it - it's like a 5-7mm thick piece of steel. Couple whacks with a hammer should do it. You could also cut it off if you have a hacksaw (I will probably do that).

Google it and you'll find install instructions, pretty easy stuff from what I can tell.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get these parts? My local dealer wanted $48 for the bar and about the same as above for the other components. I found the bar online for $35 but, shipping was $20.
