TSX Turbo Kit, 4/11/05 update

FYI everyone, prototyping of our kit will begin in May. We had to push it back a little, but are still working on it!

Hmmm....I had a few questions:

1) If I were to get the reflash right now, do you think that Hondata would give me a discount on a reflash for your Turbo when you release everything?

2) Would I be able to run the current AT reflash with your Turbo, or would this be a terrible idea?

3) I remember you had a target price of $2700-$3000, would this price include the reflash?

4) Is the prototype the AT version? ie...your car?

I'd only consider the turbo after my warranty expires, but I can't wait until I see a turbo'd TSX.

The price of the kit is likely to be in the $3700-$3999 range, and will include a reflash. I may be able to swing a break to those who have a reflash already, but that is unknown at this point. I am hoping to have development done by the middle or end of June.

The kit will integrate it's own intake.

And a CAI really does not make sense on a turbo car...that is what intercoolers are for.

YO!! HEEL TOE..Whats good?

Hey man whats the status of your turbo kit with a reflash? If you need a 6mt I can donate my car for R&D as long as a greatly discounted kit comes with it =) Or perhaps free....I never turn down free. But realistically though where are you at with the kit? Have you started it yet?

Stoke, if you don't mind, what's the mileage on your car?

And there's a PM for a reason.

Good luck. That compression ratio is going to be a bitch to integrate a turbo with.

Luck is not a factor. It is about design and engineering. Also, moderation.

Not really. 6-8psi is more than safe with the stock motor. It's all about tuning and design.

Plus if you wanted to double up on your head gasket you could lower compression to around 10.4:1

Pretty sure he sold his TSX and abandoned the project due to lack of engine management.

There was one guy down your way (socal) who fitted a nicely plumbed and intercooled turbo onto his TSX, but he never posted what he was using to tune it (if anything) and I think he sold his too.
