Transmission Fulid for 6MT
Hi.... I'm going to change my tranny fuild, but i have couple of brand that i would like to use, REDLINE MTL, AMSOIL SYNCRO, MOTUL 75W-90....
I have previously used Motul brake fuild and i loved it.......i'm just not too sure if i'll be able to use the 75w-90??
woudl it be ok for our cars??..... or should i just stick with the regular stuff........like redline or amsoil???

I'm running the Amsoil Synchro right now, and it's very good. I'm not sure what you mean by "regular stuff." Amsoil is an aftermarket, full synth product. The shifting action is noticeably improved.

According to Amsoil ( http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/mtf.aspx ), it is a direct Honda MTF replacement.
Also, did you know gear oil and motor oils are on a different scale, and that a 75w-90 gear oil is very close to a 5/10w-30/40 motor oil? ( http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/visc.html ) Also check out the Redline MTL as someone else posted: http://www.redlineoil.com/products_g...sp?subcatID=18 It's the same viscosity as 5w-30 but with additives and enhanced engineering, etc...
The additives essentially help the oil last a lot longer in the transmissions, otherwise, with 5w-30 regular engine oil, it would break down too quickly, and you'd have to change it about as often as you change the engine oil.

i'll 2nd the amsoil mtf. it's been in my '05 for ~10k now and it's great.
i called amsoil about the vehicle not long after i got it, and they told me flat out they did not have a gear fluid that they considered a honda mtf replacement, but that one would be available before too long. as soon as it was, i got some.
mileage is up slightly, in conjunction with 0w-30 engine oil. shifting seems essentially the same, which is to say buttery. i'm primarily after low temp flow and extended drain. i've run amsoil 75w gear oil over 100k in other vehicles and it came out looking like new!
