Spoon ETD

Anyone seen this yet or know if it will fit on our TSX? Its made for the Accord CL7 Euro-R.

Maybe there's a difference in the brackets for LHD/RHD.

The engines don't move LHD/RHD, but as we saw with the TSX, the brake lines on top of the ABS module do change.

Hmm I was thinking about getting this or either the J's and it would work because I would just use the mounts from my unopened Ingalls ETD

Wow, that's a pretty slick idea. I wish I'd kept my Ingalls ETD now, I'd probably take the plunge on this Spoon one and use your idea as a fallback plan.

Take a closer look at the bracket. It moves the ETD toward the valve cover on the CL7 (to clear the brake lines), as it doesn't have the same PS hose as on the CL9. This means it wouldn't work on the TSX.

It doesn't work I tried it. The Spoon ETD will rub against the Engine Valve cover.

Darn. The damper itself looks slick though. You think Ingalls would sell just the mounts for their ETD?

Ingalls is a mom and pop type place so they might be willing to work with you if you contact them directly about it. It doesn't hurt to ask.

It would be an expensive setup just for the sake of having an ETD that says "Spoon" on it... but it would look HOT!

as i recall, everyone did try to work with them regarding the fitment issues for the ETD (brackets close to pulleys, punctures hoodliner, too close to ABS).

they didn't really provide a solution other than they tested it on several TSX's and had no issues, and they might re-work the brackets if the produce the ETD again.

Oh, I know. I meant "work with you" in terms of maybe selling just the brackets so that you could use them with the Spoon/Feels/NRG ETD.

I was one of the original 50 on the Group Buy here last year, and I encountered ABS motor clearance as well as the Cusco bracket issue, so I returned my ETD. I'm actually considering giving it another go this time around, with the knowledge that some modifications will be required on my part (filing out notches from the Cusco bracket and the ETD bracket to clear all the A/C lines, filing down the area near the ABS motor for clearance) because I'd love a more solid shift feeling and less wheel-hop.
