Question For The Suspension Gurus

Ok, so last week I installed the following on my TSX: Eibach Pro Kit, Comptech 22mm rear sway bar, Comptech titanium strut brace, Ingalls camber kit & a black Injen CAI (not related to the question in any way). I have not had the car realigned yet, so the camber & toe are off (my alignment appointment is on the 22nd of this month). The car is tracking very strangely now. The ass end feels extremely floaty in corners & on straights & it's not very confidence inspiring when this is occuring. It almost feels like the rear tires are trying to track in opposite directions & that's why it feels like the rear is shifting from side to side. Please tell me that after alignment it will go away. :'(

Most likely. You should get the alignment done ASAP. You could do a great deal of excess wear and tear to your tires if you don't get it taken care of soon. And with those modifications, the suspension should feel even more responsive once everything is properly aligned.

It's probably caused by the rear Ingalls camber link adjustment. Did you match up the length of the links to the stock links?

Yeah, as best as I could, but I'm thinking even if it's just a tad off, it'd cause problems. I'm having it realigned on the 22nd (I'll only drive it to & from work twice between now & then), so we'll see then. I guess I could always put the factory lower rear arms on to see if that fixes it. It will be driving fine & then the ass will feel floaty all of a sudden.

I don't think going back to factory lower arms will change much, so save yourself the time and energy. The alignment should fix your problems...lowering the car will change a lot in respect to your alignment. My car drifted sideways until I got my alignment done, and felt like I was all over the road. Got the alignment done and feels good as new!

The alignment was performed today & I won't be able to drive it until tomorrow. I've been at work since 8 this morning & will be here until 8 tomorrow morning. My wife took it in for service & I'm driving her Civic Si today. She claims that it feels perfect now...just like she remembered it feeling in the stock configuration. That's just based on her opinion & an hour drive back from Nashville...so we'll see tomorrow.

Your car will feel a lot better. Trust me cause I installed mine the night before my alignment. And even when I matched the lenghts of the camber kit and the stock rods the toe was so off. I had to do adjust it myself till it looked like it was stright. I'm sure if you let the alignemt shop install your camber kit instead of installing it and wait for the alignemt a few days later, you wouldn't have felt the rear trying to shift. But anyways. Enjoy your car with new suspension setup!!!

Yeah they do suck! BAD!!! What pisses me off that is the RSX-S comes with the same stock tires too.
