Question for Comptech exhaust users

I was wondering about how clean the comptech exhaust will look after awhile. I want to get one, but I don't want it to eventually look like my stock exhaust: burned and dirty looking. Will the comptech maintain the shiny canister and exhaust tips? What do you guys wash or polish it with?

I've had mine on for a year. No problems cleaning the exhaust tips. Just soap and water when washing the car.

Also, you will want the quiet tip inserts. They make the exhaust bearable for daily driving.

Been wondering about these. Are they at all restrictive? I'm looking at the Comptech or the Fujitsubo Legalis-R. My choice depends on how each one sounds. Specifically, I'm seeking to avoid sounding too loud or obnoxious.

Fuji exhaust is not loud, and doesn't require any inserts.

As far as cleaning, like mentioned above, soap and water. It's amazing stuff. Then find some type of polish (I use Brasso) to shine it up. The exhaust will last for however long you want it to providing you take care of it, just like any other part of your car, stock or aftermarket.

Before I purchased the quiet tip inserts, it was hard to talk on the phone while driving. Also, my neighbor always knew when I started up the car in the morning. The thing would just drone on and on...

I even went to the point of completely dynamating the entire trunk. No-go. The quiet tips did the trick.

I am not sure on the restrictive question. Others have reported that quiet tips do not hurt power. I could not feel the difference with the tips.
